9The strategy of the project is the improving quality of people life in informal settlement in Guayaquil. The project attracts a lot of people with colourful houses in small hill and comfortable staircases. The tourists will be safe in this area because of the protection of many guardians. In some parts of the project appear the gate are limited the area for tourist that they cannot enter.However, This action create a gap between inside and outside tourist site and the people live between the gate .

Term of slum upgrading is not only mean changing the facade. The most important thing is the better social connection and improve the interaction between people .

Sketch of the settlement along the river .This house have five members with parents and three childs. The house was renovated by themselves according to the the extending family.

The main theme of the project is the improving quality of open space by creating a pedestrian bridge for the people live in Malecon del Salado. The disadvantage is the disconnection between settlement and water , The brige block the view of the house to the natural landscape. However ,the success of this project is the formalisation of informal settlement along the river .

The scale of this project is a challenge for the urban design and planner.The conflict among real context and theory of housing planning increase gradually according to the scenario of the project .The gap between local people and their municipality created a huge disadvantage for the process of this project. The problem is not from the concept of ecological park itself , but also started from the poor condition of the resettlement.

Guayaquil, the biggest city in Ecuador are challenged with the high population and the spreading of informal settlement development. Many projects started to solve the conflict between rich and poor , formal and informal selttement . The only solution is the combination between top-down analysis and bottom-up research .This documentary illustrates the consequence of the project in many scales after few years later . The community process is a not a short term , it requires the observation and experience of the professional urban design and the sustainable strateigic spatial planning as well as the key factor of participatory . Some of the projects lack of the social connection and human behavior .However ,The significant of all the project is the dynamic for the social innovation and re-thinking about humanity in dwelling development.
