DHCP Server in the client: Clients of the SCALANCE W700 series, or Access Points which are operated in client mode, have a DHCP server. This server does the address allocation for devices behind a client which is operated as NAT Gateway (except W721-1 RJ45, article no. 6GK5721-1FC00-0AA0/ article no. 6GK5721-1FC00-0AB0 and W761-1 RJ45, article no. 6GK5761-1FC00-0AA0/ article no. 6GK5761-1FC00-0AB0).
iPCF-MC: iPCF was developed to achieve short handover times when changing between radio cells (Roaming). However, the performance of iPCF is best only with RCoax cables. The iPCF-MC procedure, on the other hand, ensures short handover times even in the case of freely moving clients and many cells, or a large no. of used channels. iPCF-MC makes different use of the two radio interfaces of the Access Point: One interface works as management interface and transmits Beacons; the other interface transmits the user data; - this function is only available in conjunction with a KEY-PLUG W780 iFeatures (article no. 6GK5 907-8PA00) or W740 iFeatures (article no. 6GK5 907-4PA00) Note: If the function iPCF-MC is used, only devices with two WLAN interfaces can be used as Access Points.
In view of the increasing security requirements both iPCF and iPCF-MC only use the AES encryption procedure. As from version V05.00.00 the WEP encryption procedure can no longer be configured. Note: Existing installations that make use of the unsafe WEP encryption procedure should be adapted to the AES encryption procedure. This adaptation is definitely required before updating the firmware to V05.00.00.
Extension of the Ethernet statistics in the WBM: The counters of the IF-MIB (ifTable>ifEntry) will be displayed. (1107257)
Support of Network Address Port Translation (NAPT) also in the Client W722-1 RJ45 (article no. 6GK5722-1FC00-0AA0/ article no. 6GK5722-1FC00-0AB0).
Inter AP Blocking in the Access Point can now also be configured in the WBM: Inter AP Blocking can be used to restrict the communication of the clients connected to the Access Point. Only those devices are accessible to the clients which have been explicitly configured in the Access Point. Any communication with other subscribers in the network will be prevented - This function is only available in conjunction with a KEY-PLUG W780 iFeatures (article no. 6GK5 907-8PA00) or KEY-PLUG W700 Security (article no. 6GK5 907-0PA00).
Adaptation to the European guidelines EN300328 V1.8.1: Adaptation Adaptivity / Blocking in the 2.4 GHz range. The EN300328 V1.8.1 Standard is compulsory for all new devices as from Jan. 01, 2015.

Optimization of the Signal Recorder: Automatic saving of the recording every 10 minutes and the files will remain intact even in the case of a cold restart of the unit. Recordings are also possible in the User Login.
Support of tags (identification transponders) of the AeroScout company also with the transmission standard IEEE802.11n and IEEE 802.11n-only (2.4 GHz).
Additional country radio approvals are available. The list of latest country radio approvals is available under: www.siemens.de/funkzulassungen
5.3. Changes/Bugfixes
iPCF: Optimization of Roaming Behaviour with Ipcf. Error while processing DHCP requests resolved with switched unicast flag. Resolved sporadic startup problems after a cold start of W770 / W730. Sporadic restarts in W770/W730 and W760/W720 while registration and deregistration
of many clients fixed. iPCF: Sporadic restarts of access points that operate on non-interference-free channels
fixed. WPA2/WPA Group Key Interval: With SNMP and CLI, the time interval for the renewal of
the key (Group Key Interval) can be configured in the Access Point. Error of lack of SNMP configuration (SNMPv1 Trap Address) after firmware update fixed.

12.2. New Functions
Support of IPv6 Expansion signal recorder in the client: Bidirectional recording, measurement of
the connected access point is displayed as well Expansion WLAN statistics: In addition to the number, the percentage of fault
telegrams is displayed in the WBM. Information – WLAN: The background noise (noise floor) on the current channel
is displayed for each antenna connection. Client – Renew DHCP after roaming: After changing to a different access point, a
check is made to determine whether the IPv4 address of the client is still valid and a new address is requested, if necessary.
Client - Background scan mode: A threshold can be set for the "Always" setting. If this value is undershot, the client scans for further access points.
iPRP: The iPRP function is also supported by SCALANCE W722-1 RJ45. Firmware on PLUG: The firmware can also be saved on the C/KEY PLUG for
configuration. This means you can use the PLUG for automatic firmware updates/downgrades.
Network Address Translation (NAT): NAT can also be activated when the "MAC mode" "Automatic" or "Manual" is configured on the client.
NAT - IPv6 transparent mode: IPv6 frames are forwarded without changes between Ethernet and WLAN.
CountryList - India: The channels 149-165 (5745- 5825 MHz) can now also be used in "outdoor mode" in India.
CountryList - China: Additional channels (CH 36-48/5180-5240 MHz and CH 52-64/5260-5320 MHz) are now available for use in China.
CountryList: Activation of channels (CH 149-165/5745-5825 MHz) frequencies) for wireless applications with short range (Non-specific Short Range Devices/SRD) in countries that work according to the ETSI standard.

14. General Hints
This version contains security-related improvements which increase ruggedness. We recommend performing an update.
Due to the increasing security requirements, only the AES encryption method is supported with iPCF and iPCF-MC. As of V05.00.00, the WEP encryption method can no longer be configured. Note: Existing installations that use the non-secure WEP encryption methods should be upgraded to the more secure AES encryption method. In any case, this upgrade must be carried out before a firmware update to the V05.00.00.
The transfer protocol IEEE 802.11b is not supported in combination with iPCF,
which means the SCALANCE W700-xRR devices must not be configured with the IEEE 802.11b operating mode in mixed operation.
AP communication: When the function "within own VAP" or "with other VAPs" is
disabled, the different WLAN clients can no longer see each other. This means Address Collision Detection (ACD) also no longer works reliably.
After the update, channels may no longer be available with the current
configuration due to a restriction of existing approvals (F-LED is illuminated). In this case, you need to check the settings for antennas (antenna gain).
Because changes may occur in the national approvals while the documentation
for the firmware is being completed, there may be differences between the national approvals listed in V6.1.0 and in the Compact Operating Instructions. At the time of the release, the settings according to the country list of firmware V6.1.0 are valid. There is no approval available yet for some countries. They are marked with an asterisk in the Web Based Management and Command Line Interface. The currently available national approvals can be found in the list of wireless approvals under www.siemens.com/wireless-approvals.
In addition, the list of countries corresponding to your device is offered directly in
the Web Based Management for download.

To download the list, open the "System" folder in the Web interface of the corresponding SCALANCE W700 product and click "Load&Save". The country list suitable for your SCALANCE W700 product can be downloaded by clicking "Save" in the "CountryList" row.
Only the Primary Setup Tool Version 4.2 is compatible with firmware version
6.1.0.
Note: If you are using an EDS file from V5.2.1 and the device is running with firmware V6.1.0, the devices will no longer go online.
Incompatibility with iPRP: iPRP systems with version V6.0.0 are not compatible
with devices with version V6.1.0. All devices must have the same firmware version (V6.0.0 or V6.1.0).
