Bhen the $ira))e counts up to ten have the children close their eyes and count up to ten &ithyou as i) they &ere the $ira))e.
:he )irst time you tell the story you could either tell it strai$ht% or ask the children to do thesound e))ects o) the various animals.
:he second time throu$h the story revise colours and have the children point to or touch the
colour that you say. For example &hen you say% <is that you on the yello& path'< tell thechildren to touch somethin$ yello&. Have the coloured )eet out in )ront o) the children% or letthem touch some clothin$ or an o+ect near+y% +ut &ithout $ettin$ up and runnin$ around theroom% as you &ant them to )ocus on the story.

Bith the hidin$ places still scattered a+out the )loor tell the children to mime +ein$ either alion or a )ly% or any other t&o animals. =ou could play some music and a)ter ten seconds or sotell the )lies to $o and hide in the )lo&ers. :hen tell the lions to $o and hide in the +ushes.
:he children mimin$ )lies must run to a picture card o) )lo&ers and the lions run to the+ushes. :ell the children to crouch do&n and +e very uiet so they are not cau$ht.
