Savonia has put much effort into developing ways to connect working life with studies and education. Studies in Savonia have been renewed with Open Innovation Space (OIS). In this learning approach we combine learning, development, research, and teaching. Working life oriented learning requires close and versatile collaboration between Savonia and our regional partners. The OIS learning benefits both students and companies.
For companies the OiS way of thinking offers a partnership in which students and teachers together with representatives of the company work on different types of assignments as part of the studying. In addition, students work on projects and theses commissioned by companies. Internship which belongs to the studies is also carried out as an authentic working environment as possible, in the company.
Every year Savonia implements a number of
projects in co-operation with working life. One
example is the designing of an exposition
consept for Hydroline Oy. The project was part
of the studies and the company was closely
involved in it´s implementation.
