TSHK 681, 682: Fan-coil room-temperature controller, with
digital display
For flexible individual-room control in residential and business
premises. For quasi-continuous
temperature control of air-conditioning systems (fan-coil) with
multi-speed fan. Output for heating or
cooling, depending on type of connection, or reversal of
direction of operation via external switch. For
2-point pulsed operation. Suitable for electric heating systems
and thermal drives, or for ventilators or
cooling equipment in air-conditioning systems.
Housing 127× 75 mm of pure-white (RAL 9010),
flame-retardant thermoplastic (fire class as perUL94 HB). Black
baseplate with NTC sensor, electronic evaluation unit and switching
relay. ON/OFF
toggle switch for mains power. Sliding switches for three fan
speeds. LCD display for indicating the room
temperature or the setpoint. Two buttons (+ and -) for setting
the setpoint. Suitable for mounting onto
walls or recessed junction boxes. Cable inlet at rear. Separate
terminal compartment with screw
terminals (for wire of max. 2,5 mm2).

1) The device is electronically made to pulse. The control
factor falls to nought at the ‘heating’ output as the temperature
rises and rises at the‘cooling’ output to E = 1. The pulsing causes
a small temperature deviation of ± 0,1...0,5 K, depending on
the time constant of the room.
Operation
The room temperature is measured using an internal NTC
temperature sensor and then compared
with the setpoint. An electric switching relay is pulsed in
relation to the temperature deviation. When
the setpoint has been reached, the control factor = 0,5. The
control system has proportional behaviourwith a P-band of 3 K.
In the event of a power failure (for longer than 1 sec), the
setpoint is lost. If the setpoint is not re-
entered, a value of 22 °C is automatically set.
Engineering and fitting notes
Fitting position: horizontal on walls, avoiding draughts and
insolation, at a height of approx. 1,5 m.
