Let’s Wrap – The Basics of Bandaging Presented by Nancy Grout, USPC Vice President of Instruction and National Examiner. This is a
hands-on session. Come learn good techniques for bandaging those equine legs. This session is for anyone!
Saddle Fit for the Rider Sponsored by County Saddles. Learn how to size a saddle and fit it to the rider properly.
Equestrian Sports Psychology Presented by Daniel Stewart. An educational, humorous, and upbeat workshop on teaching stress
management, goal setting. This workshop proves that mental preparation is just as important as physical preparation.
Rider Fitness Presented by Daniel Stewart. A unique and active workshop teaching equestrian-specific fitness exercises that help riders
identify and solve imperfections in their balance, symmetry, suppleness, core strength, stamina, body awareness and more.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly – Weeds and Toxic Plants in Horse Pastures Janice Holland, Associate Professor and Coordinator of Equine Studies Midway College. Learn about common weeds and toxic plants found in horse pastures. Also, learn about management to prevent them from growing, and signs that your horse has consumed them.
Equine Weight Management Challenges Presented by Eric Haydt and Sponsored by Triple Crown. Eric is currently Senior VP of Business Development for Triple Crown Nutrition and a horse owner for 20 years. He and Triple Crown are dedicated to staying on the cutting edge of equine nutrition to provide the newest innovations and the healthiest diets for our equine companions.
Equine Dentistry Dr. Ernie Martinez Sponsored by Hagyard Equine Hospital. Caring for your horse’s mouth does more than just keep

for? How to find a qualified acupuncturist.
Pre-Purchase Exam Dr. Liz Barrett Sponsored by Hagyard Equine Hospital. What is included in pre-purchase exams, are they
necessary, what key elements should be included during an exam and more.
H-B Workshop Sydney Wilson, National Examiner. This is a two-day workshop that covers the information for the H-B test. Sydney will
work through each section helping members to become familiar with the cards used for the H-B test.
H-HM/H/H-A Workshop Laurie Chapman-Bosco and Leanne Barnett, National Examiners. This is a two and a half day workshop to
prepare candidates for the H-HM/H/H-A test. Saturday will include longeing and teaching. Sunday and Monday will be classroom
sessions.
C and Up Trailer Safety Tom Pierson. This session will be based around the Standards of Proficiency for the C level to Adults. Clinician
will focus on discussion and demonstration on area that the group suggests.

both an anatomy professor and veterinarian, Stacy will share this unique relationship and important insights.

National Level Opportunities Presented by National Youth Board (NYB). This workshop is for leaders, members, and parents looking to explore the many opportunities available for adventure, competition, education, leadership, and self-growth through Pony Club. Topics covered are: International Exchanges, Certifications, Championships, National Youth Board, Visiting Instruction, National Youth Congress, Service projects, Scholarships, and so much more! Breathing – It’s Everything: Your Horse’s Respiratory System Jim Chiapetta DVM JD, discusses the horse’s respiratory system. Sometimes called the “forgotten organ”, the equine lung and respiratory system plays an essential role in every horse’s life, whether it be a high performance competition athlete or a back-yard pony. Equine Veterinarian and inventor of the FLAIR® Equine Nasal Strip, Dr. Chiapetta shares an in depth knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology of the lungs and issues and concerns presented by the equine respiratory system for all horse owners.
Driving Program Opportunities:
1. Marathon Driving Obstacle demonstration, instructed by Dana Bright.
Location: The Woods Obstacle-near the “Head of the Lake” - Unmounted participants please MEET by the Bruce Davidson
Statue at 7:45 am or 8:45 am to catch a ride on a golf cart out to the demo location.
If you’ve ever been curious about the sport of Combined Driving and how it all works, this is a great opportunity to
learn more! These are the same obstacles used for the World Equestrian Games in 2010 and are currently used
annually for CAA, ADS, USE, and FEI driving events throughout the year. We will have the obstacles marked the same
way they are found during competition with start/finish lines and A-E lettered options. We will talk about each
obstacle and its’ many challenges and watch each of the drivers work through them.
2. Drive a Pony Learning Sessions- Drivers are Anthony Kuenzi, Dana Bright and Kentucky Horse Park driver.
Location: Covered Arena
Sign up to drive a pony at the Information Booth in the Trade Fair. These sessions occur at the lunch break in the
Covered Arena from 11:45 to 1:00 pm
3. Sunday Evening Program
Location: Covered Arena
Come have a seat in the covered arena after a long day and enjoy a fun evening of learning more about the sport of
driving. We will begin a demonstration of different types of carriages, carts and hitches. Learn about the different
activities you may do with driving – pleasure shows, combined driving event, distance driving, and just driving for
fun! After the demos, we will have a short mock driving derby as we cheer on the drivers through obstacles and
cones and a high rate of speed – kind of like watching the jump off round in show jumping! Driving derbies are
growing and a great way to get started in competing with your favorite equine.

Class of 2014. Do you love adventure almost as much as you love your horse or pony? Come learn about this unique international
equestrian sport that tests the skills, confidence, and abilities of horse and rider (or driving team) over various terrain and obstacles.
The three phases of a TREC competition include Trail Orienteering, Control of Paces, and a Cross-Country Obstacle Course, and we’ll
demonstrate some of the obstacles in this session. French riders designed the sport of TREC to test the skill of equestrian tourism
guides. Today the sport of TREC is popular throughout Europe, and it is gaining participants—both junior riders and adults—in the
