path to enlightenment than this method of working directly with our own
awareness.
Rinpoche is known for his extraordinary ability to give these teachings in a
concise but detailed, unique and vividly clear way. Rinpoche teaches in
english, french/english translation provided

Biography of H. E. Ayang
Rinpoche. His Eminence K.C. Ayang Rinpoche was
born in a nomadic family in eastern Tibet.
After numerous auspicious signs
appeared, he was recognised to be a
reincarnate Drikung Kagyu lama by a
delegation of high lama including the
Sixteenth Gyalwa Karmapa.
Following his early education at the main monastery of Drikung, he
continued his studies at the Drikung philosophical college. After finishing his
studies and receiving many teachings he went on pilgrimage in Tibet to many
of the holy places of Guru Rinpoche.
Rinpoche accomplished a lengthy retreat at Phulung, where Guru Rinpoche
practiced Phowa for a long time.At the end of the retreat, he performed an
offering puja which was attended by many nagas, who came with offerings
and circumambulated his retreat while performing mantras of Guru Rinpoche.
Venerable Ayang Rinpoche felt that this was a great sign and felt it might
mean that in the future he would be teaching Phowa in foreign countries.
Within the Phowa teachings, the Drikung School holds a specific rank and
value. Rinpoche belongs to this lineage holding both the Phowa Nyingma and
Drikung teachings and he has deepened this knowledge. In our current times,
he is maintaining the uninterrupted lineage of Lamas holding the Phowa
Drikung since the Supreme Dorje Chang. He is highly considered as being
the eminent specialist of Phowa throughout the world.
Ayang Rinpoche is the founder of two monasteries, including Thupten
Shedup Jangchub Ling at Bylakupee, a Tibetan refugee camp where he
resides.
He teaches in the Western world, and is also the founder of the «Amitabha
Foundation», with branches in America, Asia, Europe and Australia.
Rinpoche received many teachings, including the Kalachakra empowerment
from H.H. the Dalai Lama in Lhasa, the empowerment and oral transmitions
of Chagchen Kundzod Chig She Kundrol and a special introduction of
Mahamudra from H.E. the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa. From Dilgo Khyentse
Rinpoche, he received the Dam Nag Dzod containing the essence of all
empowerment and teachings of all schools.
