Situation: I was involved in selling RESP’s which would give children a better education plan in the future Task: I was faced with selling and advertising this service, to many people I did this by using my people skills.Action: I had to make a business and card, try to advertise myself to get potential buyers. Result: I sold my services to more than 60 different people ,and learned many different skills such as being persuasive .

Sasireka SelladuraiPicture 2: Ontario Secondary School Diploma

Situation: In this situations I was presented my Ontario Secondary School Diploma, which could give me a better future.Task: I had to get 30 credits and finish my volunteer hours which is where I used many kills such as taking detailed notes.Action: To get this diploma I had to spend 4 years in high school, trying to get good marks, and be highly involved in the community. I had to be active member who academically did good. Result: I learned many new things, and achieved my Ontario Secondary School Diploma. I could father use this and go to college or university which I did.

Sasireka SelladuraiPicture 3: Helping Neighbor with School Work

Situation: I am helping my neighbor with her homework. So that I can get a chance to practice my teaching skills with childrenTask: My task was to help this student try to obtain at least a 80 , in math and other subjects including science. I used my skills such as explaining and listening to help her out.Action: I first explained it to her, when she didn’t get it I made her read the text book, and solver the problems in a notebook, and practice regulary so she doesn’t forget.Result: She ended up getting a little over 80 in both math and science. I also had a valuable learning experience , and a chance to practice skills such as listening and teaching.

Situation: Won an award for being one of the best Tamil class teachers at Thomas. L Wells Tamil class. Task: My job was to prepare worksheets for young children and try to teach them the basics. I was also responsible to use my skills such as being patient with your children as I was to make sure they did the sheets.Action: I had to repeat myself many times, and be patient enough, and spend my time wisely with trying to teach all the children.Result: All the children finished all there worksheets, and I got to practice my skills such as patience.

Sasireka SelladuraiPicture 5: Music Teacher Award

Situation: Won an award for teaching carnatic music to students at Tamil Issai kalamandram. Task: My job was to teach the students , and made sure they practice. Further more I need to prepare them well so that they can take a test and pass with excellent marks. Action: I had to devote a lot of time and effort, and really needed to manage my time effectively so each child has a fair chance to spend time with the teacher. Result: The children all passed there music tests, with flying colors because I had the chance to use my very valuable skill, time management.
