Orientation Ceremony for First Year MCA Students

by ACE committee On 8th of August 2017 orientation ceremony was organized by the ACE committee under the guidance of Prof. Nikhita Mangaonkar.

The event started at 2pm at room number 008. The ACE committee along with the help of entrepreneurship committee organized the orientation ceremony for the juniors. The event was anchored by Debashish Goswami and Pooja Patel. We began the program with a welcome song by Ashish Mishra. After which Principal Ma’am Dr. Prachi Gharpure lit the lamp. This was followed by have a brief presentation to our college & its various activities by Khusbhoo Singh, The Chairperson of ACE Committee.

The First Year Students were addressed by Principal Ma’am Dr.Prachi Gharpure, Vice Principal

Dr.Y.S.Rao, Head Of Department Dr.Pooja Raundale, Mentor Prof. K.T.V.Talele And Placement Co-ordinator Vinod Sikka. Prof.Harshil T. Kanakia, the pioneer of MCA Department at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, due to certain health issues he is not able to attend the orientation programme. The Orientation Ceremony was attended by Head of Departments of Computers and I.T. Engineering and also by the other faculty members. The Ex-ACE Committee was felicitated by Principal Ma’am. The ceremony was concluded by a vote of thanks given by the anchors at 4:00 PM. We are very grateful of all the MCA faculties and the students who participated and gave a good response to this event to make it successful.

Teacher’s Day Celebration

14th of September 2017 witnessed one of the most honorable and memorable day in the calendar of MCA fraternity as a colossal event. The event was held under the guidance of Dr. Pooja Raundale.

Following are the details about Teacher’s Day celebration: The students gathered at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Andheri (w) to give tribute to all the professors. Teachers do not just endow us with new knowledge but also act as role models for us, believe in us and encourage us to pursue our dreams. One of the oldest and the most respected professions in the world is that of teaching. It is therefore not surprising that there is a special day to celebrate the teachers. Teachers’ Day is an important day to celebrate and reflect on how much our teachers have done for us. They can not only give us knowledge, but also help to make us who we are. The ACE Committee was very grateful of all the students and speakers who participated and gave a good response to this event to make it successful.

Women Anima Patil-Sabale. The

speaker has worked for various

missions in NASA such as Mars

Analog Mission, Project PoSSUM,

HERA VII mission. She is also STEM

advocate, NASA Astronaut Aspirant,

Artist, Singer, Dancer, Performer,

Model, all this and more. Having

such a great personality in this

institute was a huge privilege for us.

The event was held under the

guidance of Dr. Pooja Raundale.

gathered to meet the Rocket Women

at S.P.Jain Auditorium, Andheri (w).

Trek to Tikona Fort

9th of September 2017 witnessed one of the most refreshing day in the calendar of MCA fraternity as a

colossal event. The event was held under the guidance of Dr. Pooja Raundale and Prof. Nikhita Mangaonkar.

The students gathered at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Andheri (w) early in the morning. The key

objective of this trek was embarking an adventure that was probably the best way to have some fun-filled

time. Also to discover unknown territories, understand the fragility of mountain ecology,study the existence

of flora and fauna at high altitude, and learn about distinct geography.The scope of discovering the many

hidden secrets of Nature in a fun-filled environment makes trekking no less than a crash course in Nature.

Trekking is an activity that challenges the physical as well as the mental aspects of an adventure fanatic. We

arranged this adventure activity because it offered an amazing adrenaline rush. Following are the details

about trekking event:

Event Name: Trekking to Tikona Fort

Date: 09th September, 2017.

Location :Kamshet,Pune

Time: 7.15 am (Departure from Bhavan’s Campus) , 10.00pm(Reached back to the college)

Objective: To make more interaction between first and Second year MCA

Students and to Explore the beautiful Tikona fort.

Industrial Visit

by ACE committee

The Industrial Visit organized by ACE committee to DELHI-HARIDWAR-

RISHIKESH-JIM CORBETT-NAINITAL-Delhi for 8 nights 9 days began on 3rd January,2017. The IV was organized under the guidance of Prof. Nikhita Mangaonkar and Head of the Department Dr. Pooja Raundale for MCA students. The Tour Co-ordinator for the IV was Mr. Prasad Khangaonkar , representative of Around The Globe Holidays

Day 1(03-01-2017):

Prof. Gajbe, his Wife and students had assembled at Bandra Terminus for boarding the train. The train departed for Delhi at 12:45pm. Lunch and dinner was served on the way by ACE Committee members.

Day 2(04-01-2017):

Train arrived Delhi by 2pm. Lunch was served on the way to Haridwar. Everyone checked in at Hotel Grand Shiva at 10pm for dinner and Overnight Stay.

Day 4(06-01-2017):

Next day after breakfast at camps, everyone proceeded for local sight seeing. Places like Ram Jhula were visited. Students did some shopping at the local market. Lunch was provided on the way to Jim Corbett. Everyone checked in Corbett View Resort by 9pm followed by dinner and over night stay at resort.

Day 5(07-01-2017):

Everyone enjoyed Jungle Safari at 6am in the morning followed by breakfast at the Resort. Everyone departed for Nainital by 10am. After Check in at Dynasty hotel of Nainital everyone enjoyed their Lunch and proceed for local Sight seeing. DJ Party, Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Followed by lunch on the way.Journey continued to Naintal Zoo which is one of the most exciting tourist spot in nainital where everyone found the rare species of snow leopard,steppe eagle etc followed to the mall road for shopping for which the markets in nainital are known for.

Later the Dinner was provided on the way to Delhi. Overnight journey to Delhi where everyone enjoyed the amazing views and pleasant weather.

Day 7(09-01-2017):

Reached Delhi by 8am in the morning. Checked In at Hotel Tourist Inn after refreshment and rest in the hotel everyone proceeded to explore the capital of India. Which has amazing monuments, top notch restaurants, shopping markets and some amazing lip smacking street food. People visited Red Fort ,India Gate,Jama Masjid etc. Even after

Day 3(05-01-2017):

Next day after breakfast at the hotel, Bus departed for Rishikesh. Everyone proceeded for adventurous activities including White Water River Rafting, Cliff Jumping, Body Surfing, etc which was a paradise for nature lovers.

Day 6(08-01-2017):

Next morning after the Breakfast at hotel everyone proceed for exploring the most captivating aspects of Nainital’s surrounding and the poised lake. Including Bhimtal , Nakuchital which offered an enthralling and mesmerizing experience.

Day 8(10-01-2017):

Next day, after breakfast everyone rather begrudgingly was ready to proceed towards the Delhi railway station to board train which departed at 9:30am. Lunch and

dinner was served in the train.

Day 9(11-01-2017):

Workshop on Python

On 14th October 2017, ACE Committee organized a workshop on “Python” under the guidance of Dr. Pooja Raundale and Prof. Nikhita Mangaonkar.

14rd of October 2017 witnessed a day to learn more about the technology which is on boost. The event was held by ACE Committee under the guidance of Dr.Pooja Raundale. She always wants the students to learn new technologies. Also python is such a powerful technology which help in developing Artificial intelligence applications. Keeping this desire in mind the ACE committee requested Prof.Nikhil Gaikwad to share the valuable knowledge he has about Python. He also has an industry experience of few months with python language. The students gathered in lab no.403 at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Andheri (w) to attend the workshop .The workshop was conducted on Saturday from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.
