  • ROBERT GIBBS (Curly)This is Bob's fifth show with WVLO, his third "on stage." In productions of

"Rose Marie" and "South Pacific," he played leading roles, then becameChoral Director for "Camelot," and made headlines for our last production,"Brigadoon." This time he combines his vocal talents and directing abilitiesby acting both 'on stage' as Curly and "in the pit" as Musical Director. Hehas performed in "Oklahoma!" before as well as a number of other appear-ances with the King Family, Hayward Symphony and "The Overtures" and"Footliters." We hope to see more of Bob in the future both on and off thestage.

    *ROBERT P BERGMAN (Curly)

This Bob makes his debut with our Association and brings a long list oftheatrical credits; among them leading roles in "West Side Story," "Irene,""1776," "Damn Yankees," "Oliver," "HMS Pinafore," "Anything Goes,""Annie Get Your Gun," and several others. He recently graduated from theUniversity of Santa Clara's Law School and in addition to his legal profes-sion has aspirations of directing in the future.

VIVIAN C. ALBRECHT (Laurey)A resident of Half Moon Bay, Vivian is also making her debut with this

production. She has an extensive background in theater including por-trayals of Laurey, Julie Jordon in "Carousel," Hodel in "Fiddler on theRoof" and Annie Sullivan in "Miracle Worker." Vivian studied directing atUSC and has directed both musicals and dramas. She is studying voice atthe Peninsula Conservatory of Music and still manages time for her hus-band and two children. We are happy to have Vivian commute so far toshare her talents with us.

    *MICHELLE D. FERCHAU (Laurey)

A newcomer to our stage, Michelle is quite a veteran in theater. Shebegan her career at 14 in the title role of "Gypsy" and has since been seenin leading roles in "Robin Hood," "Anything Goes," "Bye, Bye Birdie," and"Godspell." She sang with a 10-piece jazz group, "Mainsqueeze," for fouryears and has been married "... for 2'/2 wonderful years to a trumpet playernamed Charlie." She is involved in various Church activities in her sparetime.

  • HOWARD GRAY (Will Parker)A Freshman in Combined Sciences at the University of Santa Clara,

Howard is taking time to make his debut with WVLO in this production. Hehas appeared in "Oklahoma" before as well as leading roles in "MusicMan," "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," and "Harvey." He loves music, has been playing the piano for 12years and even though he plans to attendMed School, he will stay involved with theater in some way. We will alwaysbe glad to have Howard's energy and talent in our productions.

DEE DEE BROWN (Ado Annie)You may not have seen Dee Dee on stage in "My Fair Lady," but you saw

her creative talents on stage in the costumes which later won her anaward. Even though she has worked with us before, this does mark herdebut as a performer. She has performed at Marriott's Great America forfour years and is currently serving as Production Assistant. Former leadingroles include Nancy in "Oliver" and Irene in Sunnyvale Community Players'"Irene." In addition to costuming this production, she is a Junior at SanJose State majoring in Radio-Television Communications and planning aJanuary wedding to our talented director. Best wishes to you both!

JILL HARRY (Ado Annie)Jill returns in her second production for WVLO, her first in "South

Pacific" last year. A sophomore at Monta Vista High School, Jill hasalready appeared in several productions including "Hello, Doily," "Bye,Bye Birdie," "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." She teaches for Sunny-vale Presbyterian School of Music and is involved in many school activities;a busy gal but she loves it and we're delighted she made time for this role.

MARGE HAND (Aunt Eller)No stranger to this group, Marge appears in her 16th production. Mem-

orable roles through the past 15 years have included leads in "Fiddler onthe Roof," "I Do! I Do!," "Robert & Elizabeth," "George M," and as MorganLeFey in this season's "Camelot." More recently she appeared as MamaRose in Sunnyvale Community Players' "Gypsy" and Lady Thiang in alocal production of "King & I." Marge is President of "The Overtures" andis a real estate agent with the Monarch Group in Campbell.

MARY FOSTER (Aunt Eller)Her first appearance with WVLO, Mary is a Los Gatos resident involved

with community functions. She is a columnist for the Los Gatos Times-Observer and does Mother Goose and other Santa characterizations inOld Town. She writes poetry and often recites with a local jazz band. Sheconducts workshops and poetry festivals at elementary schools and earlierthis year appeared in Woody Allen's "God" at DeAnza College.

RICK FRANK (Jud)Rick goes back "on stage" this production after directing our last show,

"Brigadoon," and assisting the director for "Camelot." Regular theatergoers will remember him as Alfred P. Doolittle in "My Fair Lady," EdwardMolton Barrett in "Robert & Elizabeth" and Emile DeBecque in "SouthPacific." A man of many talents, Rick seems to be at his best in villainousroles which he has performed at Montalvo in "Night of The Demons" and"Dracula." A former disc jockey from New York, he is employed at Lockheedand enjoys theater involvement with his talented wife, Gayle.

  • BRIAN THOMPSON (Jud)If you saw our last production of "Brigadoon," you will remember Brian

as the Scottish father of the MacLaren clan. In this, his second role, hebecomes a sinister and vengeful character. Most of Brian's forrner theatricalexperience has been with Gilbert & Sullivan productions; "HMS Pinafore,""Pirates of Penzance," "Gondoliers," "Yeoman of the Guard," "Ruddigore,""Iolanthe," etc. However, he has played supporting roles in "Kiss Me,Kate," "Fiddler" and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum."Brian is a Systems Analyst with Hewlett Packard in Palo Alto.

MARK HEALY (Ali Hakim)Mark returns to WVLO after an absence of seven years. He moved to

Arizona with his family five years ago, was recently transferred here in hisposition as Systems Analyst for a local electronics firm and will soon betransferring back to Arizona. Mark's theatrical career began very early inhis life for he has appeared in over 55 musical productions including"West Side Story," "Fiddler on the Roof," "George M" and other productionsof "Oklahoma!" We can only hope his company transfers him back againin the near futu rei

DENNIS ROSSOW (Ali Hakim)Dennis is making his Bay Area debut in our production having moved to

San Jose from his native South Bend, Indiana in December. He received aBA degree in Theatre from Indiana University, where he had lead roles in"Charley's Aunt," "Travesties," "The Hostage," "The Real Inspector Hound"and others. He has also directed six shows, including "A Doll's House" and"The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds." We certainlyhope we have just seen the beginning of this versatile young man's career

    '" on our stage.

ELAINE BOSTWICK (Gertie)Elaine was in the first production of "Oklahoma!" that WVLO did back in

1964 and has considered our Association her second family ever since. She has worked on so many shows, she cannot remember tham all andhas assisted in all phases of production from lighting, set construction, box office, and costumes to make-up and performing. Her major lead andsupporting roles were in "King & I," "Wizard of Oz," "My Fair Lady," and"Gigi." Away from the theater, she works at Syntex in Palo Alto as aResearch Animal Health Technician. Thanks for all your support, Elaine, but please don't laugh for us!

KATHLEEN BELLARDI (Gertie)This marks Kathy's first appearance with us, but she is no newcomer to

theater. Previous experiences include the role of Gooch in CLO's "Mame,""Showboat':' SDG's "Kismet," and "Music Man." She studied vocal andinstrumental music at San Jose State and works at Western Electric inSunnyvale. Just smile, Kathy, that's all!

JAMES DIGGINS (Carnes)Regular members will remember Jim from two previous shows, "South

Pacific" and "Paint Your Wagon" (where he first met a clarinetist, ChrisNorby, and began a courtship which recently resulted in marriage andanother WVLO romance ends happily). Also a talented lighting designer,he has done lighting for "Rose Marie," "Camelot," and "Strange Bedfellows."He also worked in "Pirates of Penzance," and is a member of the 'World'sOnly Two-Man Barbershop Quartet.' Jim holds a Masters Degree in BusinessAdministration and works for DeBolt Civil Engineering in Danville. Bestwishes, Jim and Chris, for a happy and successful life together.
