For my project I used an “a” in the Baskerville font. This project taught me about closure, structure, and variation while increasing my skills in Adobe Illustrator. During the summer I decided to add some GLERKIW�XS�Q]�½REP�GSPSV�ERH�texture deconstructions and placed them on coffee mugs.

This project taught me about the relationship of typographic elements to the picture and exploring how typefaces can affect the readability of the composition. The project improved my skills in the Adobe Creative Suite

Over the summer I spent a week on Hilton Head Island. While there I was inspired by Camp Hilton Head’s postcards and decided to make some of my own. Using InDesign I created several postcards out of the photos I shot.

I created an instructional on how to create chocolate milk. I used various line weights and shades of black to make the process easier to follow for the younger target audience. This project was created via the pen tool in Illustrator.

This project increased my knowledge of the world of advertising and photography. I learned about composition and the grid system.

I created a logo for Global Studio Design using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Over the summer I had a photo shoot with my two friends. From the photos I created clothing advertisements for the design studio via InDesign.

Light the Night PosterThis project was designed to publicize the Light the Night Walk.

Light the Night PosterFrom this project I learned the relationship of typographic elements, typographical hierarchy, exploration of type space, weight, and spacing, and grids. For this project I used the Adobe Creative Suite.

Over the summer I took on the project of designing a poster for the Light the Night Walk, which is a fundraiser to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

PhotographyPhoto Design 1 taught me about how to use my camera to show the subject in the best light and focus.

The projects to the left are, from left to right, object photography, portraits, and the 30 day project. I chose my grandfather’s camera for the object photos. My portrait is of my friend who was also one of the models for my Global Studio Design advertisements. The two 30 day projects are a little boy and his “axe” and the morning sunrise.
