The STEPHEN PACE RESIDENCY, now in its third year, intends to fill the gap that exists in support for mid-career painters, offering four weeks of time and space on the grounds of the Fine Arts Work Center, as well as an opportunity to provide mentorship to the 10 emerging visual artists who spend 7 months, from October 1 through April 30 at the Work Center, concentrating on their own work. The 2019 Stephen Pace Resident will live and work at the Work Center for four weeks between February 1, 2019 and April 30, 2019. The residency includes a fully equipped private apartment, separate private studio, and a living stipend of $750 per week. As part of the residency you will be required to give an artist talk, conduct studio visits with the emerging artist Fellows, and hold an open studio. The FINE ARTS WORK CENTER and the STEPHEN AND PALMINA PACE FOUNDATION are pleased to invite applications from mid-career painters for a month-long residency at The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.

The STEPHEN PACE RESIDENCY, now in its third year, intends to fill the gap that exists in support for mid-career painters, offering four weeks of time and space on the grounds of the Fine Arts Work Center, as well as an opportunity to provide mentorship to the 10 emerging visual artists who spend 7 months, from October 1 through April 30 at the Work Center, concentrating on their own work.

The 2019 Stephen Pace Resident will live and work at the Work Center for four weeks between February 1, 2019 and April 30, 2019. The residency includes a fully equipped private apartment, separate private studio, and a living stipend of $750 per week. As part of the residency you will be required to give an artist talk, conduct studio visits with the emerging artist Fellows, and hold an open studio.

The Fine Arts Work Center provides fellowships to 10 emerging artists each year in the form of an apartment, separate studio, and a monthly stipend. Residencies run from October 1 through April 30.

Fellows have the opportunity to pursue their practice independently, the only thing asked in return is that they stay in Provincetown and focus on their work.

Visual artists are invited to exhibit solo shows in the Hudson D. Walker Gallery.
