Jabil is an electronics solutions company providing comprehensive electronics design, production, and product management services to global electronics and technology companies

Jabil – Corporate Governance
Because Jabil is listed on the NYSE, it must comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Management of Internal Controls (MIC) 2.0 was implemented to manage and monitor these requirements in Jabil. MIC 2.0 is implemented in mySAP ERP 2005.
Sarbanes-Oxley affects senior management; this means they will have some interaction with the system
The six delivered SAP xApp Analytics for Corporate Governance provide a much nicer, more intuitive user interface for management

Jabil – Business Motivators
Jabil just went live on MIC 2.0 but needed a better reporting solutionthan the standard reports provided, particularly for reporting at the management level
Analytics was the fastest way to achieve the desired reporting requirements
It was not required to implement an SAP NetWeaver BI solution to use SAP xApp Analytics for Corporate Governance
Jabil is a large SAP shop and there is a support infrastructure already in place for SAP solutions with basis, security, and functional resources in-house

Project Time Frames (cont.)
In hindsight, what could have reduced implementation time?Issue: SAP NetWeaver 2004s Portal development system was a sandbox system and was unstable. This caused changes to the Visual Composer models to take longer than needed.Solution: In the future, look into getting a larger, more stable development systemIssue: SAP NetWeaver 2004 production portal was on the wrong Support Package Stack. It was on SPS11, and needed to be on SPS17. Therefore, this took time to coordinate with other departments using the Portal.Solution: Try to apply all upgrades prior to project commencement

Summary – Future Scope for Analytics at Jabil
Additional Analytics projects now being considered in Jabil:Additional models for MICUse of composite applications in MIC that can both read and write data– Providing a read and write application will be very powerful, especially for a
sign-off application used by senior management
Other business uses outside MIC are also being evaluated by Jabil. This also includes reporting of metrics using both SAP and non-SAP source systems. Also under current evaluation is connecting SAP NetWeaver BI to the Portal for future Analytics projects
