    Configuring the Studio:

    To work with the Studio, we need to connect to our SAP HANA server.

    From the main Administrative Console or Modeler perspective, right click inside

    the Navigator pane.

    We need to give the hostname and instance number of our SAP HANA installation

    & short description.

    We can also specify the Locale (default language) setting for the installation &

    create folders for better arrangement of different SAP HANA servers.

    Step by step procedure to create a User on SAP HANA DataBase

    We can create a user using SAP HANA Studio and supports the creating of a roleswhich is basically a set of privileges which is generally we provide to users.

    Step1: Select Security -> Select Users option from the Navigator pane as shownbelow.

    To open an SQL editor window in the HANA studio, we click on the system name

    in the Navigator pane, and then click on the SQL Editor, in the Navigator pane.

    There are four different types of attribute view, explained as follows:

    Standard: This view is based on database tables.

    Derived: This view is derived from another attribute view (somewhat like the

    "create by reference" option for InfoObjects in SAP BW, for those who are

    familiar with the software)if you create View B, derived from View A, then View

    B will be identical to View A. If, at a later time, you change View A, then View B

    will change as well.

    Copy From: Like Derived, this will incorporate the particularities of the originalView, but is not linked to that Viewif you create View B as a copy of View A,then View B will be identical to View A. If, at a later time, you change View A,

    then view B will not be impacted.

    Time: Finally, an attribute view can hold time information. Typically, this includesdate, week, month, and year a detail such as which month of the year containswhich week number.
