Q)what is the purpose of semantic group in dtp please explain
with any example?
It is not that we will use Semantic Groups only for
WriteOptimized DSO. Semantic Groups isuseful when we need to load
the records in the sequence, if we use this option, records will
beload in a sequence and if any error occurred in between,
subsequent records of error record(which are having same key of
error record) will be updated to Error Stock.
The data in R/3 having p1,p2,p3 having sales revenue of 45% but
in BW its showing only p1,whatmay be the reason.
The User is seeing the data but prompt is not available what
will you do?
Difference between Start Routine and Expert Routine ?under what
scenario uare using expert routine?
An Expert routine is a routine with contains both the source and
target structure. we can use
Expert routine if there are not sufficient functions to perform
transformation. Approach to ScenarioFor Expert Routine every things
needs to be written using coding. In simplean expert routine
performs all theactions of Start Routine, Mappings, Field and End
Routines.In Expert Routine we will read from source_package which
contains all thedata and update intoresult_package which should be
the output and when doing we will calculatethe key figure total no
of days.
The data is populating every day , but one day the data is
taking so muchof time to retrieve .what will u do?user is
complainting that data in not coming?

I know there are 4 types of dtp's1) standard dtp 2)Direct Access
dtp 3) error stack dtp 4) rda dtpStandard DTP:
You use the data transfer process (DTP) for real-time data
acquisition to transfer data to the DSOfrom the PSA. In the
DataStore object, the data is available for use in reporting.
Direct Access DTP:
You use a data transfer process for direct access to access the
data in an InfoProvider directly(Virtual provider).You can use the
data transfer process to access data directly.
Error DTP:
The error DTP uses the full update mode to extract data from the
error stack (in this case, the source of the DTP) and transfer it
to the targetthat you have already defined in the data transfer
process.
