SAP BW - FI Datasources.doc

Introduction

This document will provide a quick guide on the different SAP BW standard

datasources available for various FI module, their functionality and their

implementation issues.

Also a comparison between the datasources available in different Reporting

Financials (EhP1, EhP3, EhP4) and their use is listed which will help in deciding the

standard datasources to be installed in a SAP BW implementation project based

on the requirements.

General Ledger Accounting

EhP1 datasources

0FI_GL_10 (General Ledger: Balances, Leading Ledger)

This DataSource extracts the totals records from the leading ledger in the new General Ledger

Delta Capable: Yes

Delta Procedure: AIED

Direct Access: Allowed

Note: SAP has provided 2 more datasources 0FI_GL_11, 0FI_GL_12 with different delta procedures for

extracting the General Ledger balances if using the 0FI_GL_10 datasource leads to performance issues.

Please refer SAP note 1392817 for additional information related to this.

0FI_GL_14 (General Ledger Accounting (New): Line Items of the Leading Ledger)

This DataSource extracts line items from the leading ledger in new General Ledger Accounting.

Delta Capable: Yes



Note: In addition to these datasources, if the data needs to be extracted from any other ledger apart from

the leading ledger then the datasources can be generated specifically for those ledgers to extract the

balances as well as the line items data.

EhP3 datasources

0FI_GL_20 (General Ledger Accounting: Transaction Figures)

This DataSource extracts the general ledger transaction figures from table FAGLFLEXT for the leading as

well as the non leading ledgers.

Delta Capable: Yes



0FI_GL_40 (General Ledger Accounting: Line Items)

This DataSource extracts the line items in General Ledger accounting for the leading as well as the non

leading ledgers.

Delta Capable: No


0FI_GL_21 (Cumulated balances)

This DataSource extracts cumulated balances for a reporting period for the leading as well as the non

leading ledgers.

Delta Capable: No


0FI_GL_50 (General Ledger Accounting: Plan Line Items)

This datasource extracts the plan line items in General Ledger accounting from table FAGLFLEXP for the

leading as well as the non leading ledgers

Delta Capable: No

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

EhP1 datasource

0FI_AP_4 (Vendors: Line Items with Delta Extraction)

This DataSource extracts Accounts Payable Accounting line items from tables BSIK (open items) and

BSAK (cleared items) in the R/3 source system.

Delta Capable: Yes

Delta Procedure: AIE

Direct Access: Not Allowed

0FI_AP_6 (Accounts Payable: Transaction Figures with Delta Extraction)

This DataSource is used to load accounts payable transaction figures.

Delta Capable: Yes



0FI_AR_04 (Accounts Receivable: Line Items)

This DataSource extracts Accounts Receivable Accounting line items from tables BSID (open items) and

BSAD (cleared items) in the R/3 source system.

Delta Capable: Yes



0FI_AR_6 (Accounts Receivable: Transaction Figs w. Delta Extraction )

This DataSource is used to load accounts receivable transaction figures

This DataSource extracts the payment history from table KNB4 in the R/3 source system

EhP3 datasource

0FI_AP_30 (Vendor Line Items)

This DataSource provides vendor line items (tables BSIK (open items) and BSAK (cleared items) of

subledger accounting.

Delta Capable: Yes

Delta Procedure: AIM


0FI_AP_20 (Vendor Balances)

This DataSource provides vendor balances

Delta Capable: Yes



0FI_AR_30 (Customer Line Items)

This DataSource provides customer line items (tables BSID (open items) and BSAD (cleared items) of

subledger accounting

0FI_AR_20 (Customer Balances)

This DataSource provides customer balances.

Delta Capable: Yes

Asset Accounting

EhP1 datasource

0FI_AA_11 (FI-AA: Transactions)

This DataSource supplies the transaction data and annual plan values for fixed assets

Delta Capable: Yes

0FI_AA_12 (FI-AA: Posted Depreciation)

This DataSource supplies the values of depreciation postings by period.

Delta Capable: Yes



EhP4 datasource

0FI_AA_20 (FI-AA: Transactions and Depreciation)

The EhP4 datasource 0FI_AA_20 (FI-AA: Transactions and Depreciation) does not support delta.

Cost Center Accounting

EhP1 datasources

0CO_OM_CCA_1 (Cost Centers: Costs and Allocations)

This DataSource supplies costs (primary and secondary) and quantities posted to cost centers (actual,

plan, and commitments). These costs could have been posted to the cost centers as primary cost

postings or internal allocations.

This datasource does not support delta loading.


0CO_OM_CCA_9 (Cost Centers: Actual Costs - Line Items (Delta) )

This DataSource contains information on the actual costs that were posted to cost centers. These costs

could have been posted to the cost centers as primary cost postings or internal allocations.

Delta Capable: Yes

Delta Procedure: ADD


EhP3 datasources

0CO_OM_CCA_20 (Cost Centers: Costs and Allocations)

This datasource does not support delta loading.

Delta Capable: Yes

Delta Procedure: ADD


Prerequisites:

You can only use the EhP3 content if you use SAP Enhancement Package 3 for SAP ERP 6.0 and have activated the Reporting Financials business function.

You can only use the EhP4 content if you use SAP Enhancement Package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0, and have activated the Reporting Financials 2 business function
