OLTP or Online Transaction Processing is a class of programs that facilitate and manage transaction-

oriented applications, typically for data entry and retrieval transaction processing. If you are using the

transactions in the Logistics applications, the Logistics Information System (LIS) updates relevant

information. You can also update information from other systems in the LIS. The LIS aggregates and stores this information in the data warehouse.
