Sanford Inspire Assignment #2: Instructions
To complete the Sanford Inspire Assignment #2 for Induction, teachers will first need to create a free
account with Sanford Inspire. Since you have already done this for the earlier modules, you can scroll
down to step #4.
1. Go to https://online.sanfordprograms.org/
2. Scroll down. Towards the bottom of the page, click on “REGISTER NOW FOR FREE”
3. Complete the REGISTER page by filling in the blanks with the appropriate information. Once all blanks
are filled in, scroll down, click the blue “Submit” button at the bottom of the page.
4. Once you have registered for your free account, sign-in. You should see a screen like the one below.
Select “Go Now!” under the Sanford Inspire option:
5. The Dashboard in Sanford Inspire once you are logged in should look like this:
6. Although there are many courses to choose from, in this assignment you will be completing the
courses listed below, in the order that they are listed:
Backward Planning a Unit: 45 min Elements of a Lesson Opening: 45 min Elements of a Lesson Closure: 45 min
You can find each of these modules by searching in the search bar and hitting “Enter”
Along the way you will be prompted to STOP and reflect on the corresponding Sanford Inspire
Assignment #2 Reflection form. This completed reflection form will be what you upload to Blackboard
for fulfillment of your induction requirement.
6. To enroll and complete each course, select the course that you have searched for.
You can either bookmark the course to come back later or go ahead and start the lesson. Two the
modules for Sanford #2 are available on the left-hand side of the page under the domain “Instructional
Design and Planning.” You will have to search separately for the module on “Backward Planning a Unit.”
7. You will complete the steps above for each of the courses associated with Sanford Inspire Assignment
#2.
8. You should now pull up the “Sanford Inspire Assignment #2 Reflection Guide” word document and
save it to your desktop as “LastName.FirstName.SanfordInspireAssignment#2.Reflection”
9. Complete the “Sanford Inspire Assignment #2 Reflection Guide” word document as you work
throughout the six assigned modules and you are prompted to stop and reflect. Make sure you are
periodically saving your completed work as you continue throughout the assignments.
10. If you bookmarked a module to come back later or if you started a module and didn’t finish in one
sitting, you can return to those modules by selecting “My Reports” and then either “In Progress” or
“Bookmarked”
From here you can either start or pick up where you left off:
11. When you successfully master the assessment at the end of the module, you will be given a
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION. You can view all your certificates for the modules you have completed by
going to “My Reports” “Completed”
Your certificate should look similar to the below picture. Save this certificate as a PDF named
“SanfordInspire_CompletionCertificate_CourseName”
12. Once you are finished with all the courses, you will upload all three completion certificates to the
corresponding spaces in your induction Blackboard course.
13. Additionally, when you have finished the reflection guide prompts that correspond to the
completion of all three courses, upload your completed “Sanford Inspire Assignment #2 Reflection
Guide” with the naming conventions “LastName.FirstName.SanfordInspireAssignment#2.Reflection” to
the corresponding spot in your Blackboard course. In total you will have uploaded four documents for
this one assignment.
