$40 per person Adults and Teens Every colonial home has this small attractive basket, made especially to hold combs. Combs were very expensive, difficult to make and important grooming tools used to comb hair and remove lice. Expert basket weaver Joan Betzold will walk us through its construction. Get Ready for the Great American Eclipse of 2017


August 11 7 - 8 pm Free Are you ready? In just a few days we’ll witness one of nature’s great spectacles across the United States; a total eclipse of the Sun. Days turn to night as the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun, blotting out the Sun’s brilliance and exposing the delicate and beautiful solar corona. Stars and planets appear as the sky darkens, animals react in strange ways , and many humans will travel miles to see this rare occurrence. Join us this evening as Jim O’Leary from the Maryland Science Center will help us what to expect in Maryland, how and when to safely see the eclipse, and how eclipses were viewed through history.
