Sandhar was incorporated on October 19, 1987 and commenced operations as a supplier to Hero

(formerly Hero Honda Motors Limited) for sheet metal components.

It went on to gradually add automotive locks and mirrors to its product range. Realizing the need for

better quality control over child parts and economies of scale; it further expanded into manufacturing

mirror plates, zinc die casting, plastic injection moulding, dies & moulds and body colored paint

shops.

Sandhar acquired Adeep Group in 2005, with this acquisition it added steel wheel rims & assemblies,

handle bars, to its range.

Next was the Barcelona unit of TECFISA which manufactured spools for seat belt retractors and

Aluminum PDC products.

Sandhar has recently entered into a technical collaboration agreement with JEM Techno Co. Limited,

Korea, for manufacturing relays and a technical collaboration agreement with Lyssen Enterprises Co

Limited, Taiwan, for manufacturing instrument clusters, gauges & senders in 2013.

Since its inception, the group has grown into a medium sized auto component supplier, having most

of the Indian automotive OEM’s as its customer.
