Sandon Hall, ancestral home of the Earls of Harrowby, is a magnificent location for a whole variety of events.
Visitors cannot fail to be impressed by the mile-long drive that meanders through 400 acres of rolling parkland before the neo-Jacobean Hall, completed by William Burn in 1854, comes into view.
The imposing Hall is a dramatic setting for all types of functions, from weddings and conferences to parties and outdoor events. The scene is completed by William Eames’ 50-acre formal gardens to the rear of the Hall. The gardens, a delight throughout the year, are still considered one of the best examples of their kind in the country.

Sandon Hall offers the dream setting for weddings. The Hall and gardens are offered on an exclusive basis and so they really are yours for the day!
A variety of rooms are available. Brides marrying at the Hall or at Sandon Church can get ready in a private bedroom with fantastic views over the gardens, an oasis of calm before the celebrations commence.
The oak-panelled Library is a sumptuous location for ceremonies, with sunlight streaming in through the large windows and with stunning views over the formal gardens.
Guests can then enjoy drinks and canapés in the Victorian Conservatory, which boasts an award-winning extension including a bar, lift and fully-accessible facilities, something of a rarity in a Victorian house! The modern extension blends perfectly with the original Conservatory and fully complements the venue.
The 50-acre gardens, a spectacle all year round, are always open for guests to explore, while photo opportunities abound. Guests are welcome to bring garden games, to stroll along the many winding paths or just to sit and soak up the atmosphere.
The Saloon provides an opulent setting for the wedding breakfast. The bride and groom can make a grand entrance down the main stairs to rapturous applause, surely the highlight of every wedding and a memory that will last forever. The warm colours of the décor lend themselves perfectly to an atmospheric celebration over high-quality food. In the evening, our resident DJ will be on hand to help you to party the night away – he can provide almost anything and everything to suit all tastes!
For smaller groups, ceremonies can take place in the Old Dining Room with the wedding breakfast in the Library. The Old Dining Room, with its imposing chandelier and portraits of previous generations of the Harrowby family and political acquaintances, is an impressive room for ceremonies as well as smaller wedding breakfasts. With views overlooking the formal gardens, there could not be a better location for an intimate dinner.
Flexibility is a key feature, making every wedding different and allowing couples to structure their day according to their specific requirements. For instance, wedding receptions can start in early or late afternoon. If you want your wedding breakfast to be a ‘late lunch’, why not arrive at 1pm and eat at 2.30? Alternatively, come along at 4 and enjoy dinner at 6.

Meanwhile, business clients can choose from a number of different packages to suit both their budgets and their schedules for the day. Other special events are also easily catered for, from birthday celebrations to Christmas parties.

Where clients wish to marry at the Hall, the first 30 minutes of the booking is u�lised for guests to take their seats and for the bride and groom to meet the registrar's separately. ‐ For all bookings, a non‐refundable deposit of 20% of the venue fee is required. ‐ Monthly payment plans for the remaining 80% are available on request. ‐ All prices include VAT at the current rate. ‐ For clients wishing to pay their venue fee in full upon booking, a 5% discount is available. ‐ Marquees & Tipis must be hired by the client. ‐ For Bank Holiday Weekends; The Sunday price will become the Saturday price and the Monday price will become the original Sunday price. ‐ £200 surcharge for numbers below 50 in the day and 80 in the evening ‐ Please get in touch if there is anything you require which is not quoted for above

Prosecco Ponte di RialtoThis style of Prosecco has a great fizz and a hint of sweetness. A lovely wine with a nose of blossoms, peach and pear. The palate has a soft fizz with an almost creamy texture and a pure crystalline finish.

Saint Laurand Merlot/CarignanA lovely CarignanMerlot blend from the sunny south of France. This wine is made by the modern Les Vignobles Foncalieu cooperative based in Arzens, southeast of Toulouse. The dry, sunny region is cooled by the Mediterranean Sea breezes and is perfectly suited to the Carignan and Merlot varieties. Red berry aromas with a touch of sweet spice on the nose. Red fruits and plum notes on the palate are supported by fine tannins and a subtly peppered finish. A great accompaniment to charcuterie and cheeses.
Saint Laurand Blanc (Ugni Blanc/Colombard)A blend of Ugni Blanc and Colombard grapes, which together actually have all the aromatics of a Sauvignon Blanc. A lovely aromatic nose with zesty citrus and hints of stone fruit and a palate with lots of white nectarine, citrus and creamy characters balanced with a refreshing lemony acidity. An enjoyable, easy drinking dry white wine.

Kaleu, Los Haroldos Malbec A pure fruit driven Malbec with soft and elegant aromas of plums and cherries. Flavours of fresh red fruits with a little spice and smooth tannins. Bodega Los Haroldos are a leading Argentine winery owned by ‘Familia Falasco’ who have over 70 years’ experience making fine wines from premium vineyard sites in Mendoza.
Mucho Mas Sauvignon BlancThe Mucho Mas Sauvignon Blanc is light, fresh and incredible value. Produced from old vine Sauvignon Blanc grown on the cool, hilly farm of the Martin family, this has fresh, crisp, ripe citrus fruit and is packed with lime zest and kiwi fruit flavours. Think of cool glacial streams and enjoy the refreshing, racy acidity on the finish. Lovely with seafood.

Saumur Rose Sec, Chateau Montgueret This beautiful Saumur is produced from the delicate Cabernet Franc grape. Gorgeously soft and persistent bubbles combined with gentle ripe starberries and a touch of cream. Or Los Horaldos Extra Brut. Argentina Yellow with delicate green and golden hues. Appealing aromas of tropical fruits, peaches and grapefruit. A fresh sparkling wine that is fruity and elegant with fine bubbles and a long finish.
Wine, ½ a bottle per person: split evenly between Red and White, detailed below Conde Bel Rioja Tinto Conde Bel Rioja Tinto is a Tempranillo Garnacha blend with 6 months oak ageing from Bodegas FrancoEspanolas. Distinctive Rioja aromas with cherry fruit, soft creamy oak and a spicy finish. Conde Bel Rioja Blanco Aromas of peach, pineapple and almond lead on to a creamy textured palate that is bursting with zesty fruit and juicy acidity

Champagne for toast
Gardet Brut Tradition Champagne. Super Champagne from one of the region's smaller, independent houses. This wine is meticulously well made and has a fresh and lively style with good depth of flavour and plenty of character.
Wine, ½ a bottle per person: split evenly between red and White, detailed below Domaine de Pellehaut Chardonnay A generous and lively Chardonnay, which has been the winner of numerous awards. Grapes from lowyielding vines are naturally fermented with wild yeasts, partly in new oak barrels, followed by 6 months' lees ageing for added softness and complexity. Dried fruit aromas abound on the nose, with a touch of honey and white flowers. The palate has an ample feel, very round, with a fleshy fruit core and tinges of vanilla. A great allrounder, perfect with grilled fish, roast chicken, mussels or soft cheese.
Puy Des Domes Pinot Noir A Pinot Noir from the southern Loire region of the Auvergne. Fresh and aromatic with sappy green notes, hints of herbs and ripe cherry fruit on the nose. The palate is elegant and textured with smooth, sappy red cherry fruit. Beautifully expressive and elegant. A pure, lighterstyle red wine with no harsh edges. If you wish to provide your own reception and table drinks there will be a corkage fee of £3.50 per bottle. Limited to: 2 glasses as arrival/reception drink, 1/2 bottle table wine per person, 1 glass for the toast
