• The large number of new players in the last year has produced substantial growth in thetotal number of online money players.

• Total number of players is up 31.3% on the market's low point in Jan 07 and up 12.4% on its high point in Sept 06 (just before U.S. legislation).

• Most of these new players, however, are, so far, very light players (especially the new female players) with fewer playing every week and even fewer playing every day.

• This means that in "volume" terms the market is still well down on its peak of Sept 06 (see subsequent charts) but the potential for volume growth over the next year looks strong.
