The deal

PwC Corporate Finance team advised SK Global Chemical on their acquisition of Dow’s Ethylene Acrylic Acid Copolymers (EAA) business, a leading producer of EAA used by customers producing flexible packaging for food & beverage and personal care applications.

The detail

Dow Chemical was a leading producer of EAA copolymers and marketed the product under the Primacor brand as part of its packaging and specialty plastics business. The sale was part of the ongoing regulatory process for its $130 billion merger between Dupont and Dow.

The difference

The transaction, a remedy sale resulting from the Dow Chemical and DuPont merger, was completed over a short period of time with the Korea and US Corporate Finance teams advising a Korean client in an expedited global competitive process. The PwC Corporate Finance teams provided significant value add throughout the process, utilizing our cross-border M&A expertise and coordinating diligence across multiple continents.
