Lab 1.3.1: Review of Concepts from Exploration 11. Explain you process in designing an IP addressing scheme for this lab. 2. In addition to the ping command, what other Windows command is useful in displaying network delay and breaks in the path to the destination? Tracert would be another option.

3. How is Telnet access and console access different? When might it make sense to set different passwords on these two access ports?

Telnet access is available anywhere that the router's IP is routable, while console access requires physical access, and thus one might use a simpler password for the console

4. ____________________________________________________________________________ 5. Why does the switch between a host and router not require configuration with an IP address to forward packets?

Because its a Layer 2 device, a switch does not interact with Layer 3 and does not need to r recognize a Layer 3 addressing, such as an IP address.

Lab 1.3.2: Review of Concepts from Exploration 1 - Challenge1. Explain you process in designing an IP addressing scheme for this lab.

Lab 1.3.3: Troubleshooting a Small Network1. List any problems you encountered and describe how you corrected the problems. On any small network, one of the few problems that you may encounter are were the IP, Subnet and the gateway are incorrect and Probably have been subnetted incorrectly, I would check those first to ensure that all the numbers have been configured correctly. The next thing I would check would be the interface commands to make sure that the proper commands have been input. The next thing I would check would be the TC/IP settings on each Host to ensure that the right subnets are correct and are set to the proper hosts.
