2018-2021 Instructional Technology Plan - Annually - 2018
IV. NYSED Initiatives Alignment
Section IV - NYSED Initiatives Alignment
1. Explain how the district use of instructional technology will serve as a part of comprehensive and sustained effortto support rigorous academic standards attainment and performance improvement for students.
The district's use of instructional technology is one part of a comprehensive and sustained effort to support rigorous academic standards attainment
and performance improvement for students. Teachers and administrators will receive training and will utilize I-Ready to assess ELA and Math skill
proficiency, and use the data to set instructional goals. They will utilize My Learning Plan, and Schooltool Premier for use with the teacher evaluation
process. These software products allow teachers to set student goals based on readily available student assessment data, to reflect on their teaching
practice based on observation and evaluation data, and to create on goals for themselves and their professional development based on the data and
reflection. Teachers will attend trainings (Flipped and blended classrooms, Project Based Learning, Edmodo, and Schoology demonstrations, library
media databases) to learn to integrate more technology into their classrooms and to design more student centered/inquiry based, 21st century learning
environments. These environments will encourage students to use technology (computers, laptops, tablets/ipads, ebooks, databases) authentically, on a
regular basis, to complete research using reliable resources, to record the pertinent information, and to create presentations to showcase and share their
projects or work with appropriate audiences. Building administrators will be trained in Data Driven Instruction and the Professional Learning
Community (PLC) structure will be realigned with the focus on increasing student achievement. 2. Students with disabilities may be served through the use of instructional technology as well as assistive

in the general curriculum. Resources include related service providers, private contractors of such services, the district’s technology department, as

ipads devoted to meeting the needs of our CSE students. Current uses also include the use of IPADS to as a form of communication for nonverbal
students.
