Reinforcement Construction Major Components of Reinforement
Roof Purlins(Joist) -members spanning greater length than they can
support. Mansard -Sloped roof along west elevation very poorly
constructed. Roof Trusses - Damage to members, buckling, member
failure, complete truss failure. Items associated with Atrium and
the Bearing Wall that was removed.

Reinforced with additional wood framing and simpson strong tie
accessories Roof Purlins: Existing Purlins doubled to accommodate
the span Atrium: Sevaral repairs associated with trusses,
bearing,

Trusses: Structural Steel members engineered and added to provide
enough strength to carry the existing structural load. Structural
Steel will replace the wood as the structure of the building. Wood
will still be in place. Wood will not be straightened. Cable bottom
chord: Cables will now act as the bottom chord of our steel
system.
