Help Wanted at the Malta Irrigation District The Malta Irrigation District is seeking to fill one (1) Ditch Rider position. This position is permanent full-time with health care benefits, including pension. Applicants must have the desire and ability to perform a wide variety of skilled duties associated with the operation and maintenance of the Malta Irrigation District’s water distribution system. This includes the patrolling, regulating and documentation of water usage; performing related duties and responsibilities as assigned; and performing work in the operation and use of construction equipment in support of activi- ties related to construction, maintenance, and repair of the District’s water systems. Must live in the Saco/Hinsdale area for this position. Must be able to work some overtime and weekends, especially during the irrigation season and be on call for emergencies. Must also have or be able to obtain a Class A drivers’ license within the first year of employment. Applicant will also be required to pass a drug screening. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have established a National Do-Not-Call Registry to help stop unwelcome telemarketing calls.

You can register your residential phone number(s) and wireless phone number(s) on the Do-Not-Call Registry for FREE by calling 1-888-382-1222. You must call from the telephone number(s) you wish to register. You may also register via the Internet at www.donotcall.gov.

Your phone number(s) should show up on the National Do-Not-Call Registry the next day, but it can take up to 31 days for unwanted telemarketing calls to stop. Your registration does not expire. The FTC will only remove your number from the Registry if it is disconnected and reassigned, or if you request that it be removed.

With the exception of certain non-profit and political organizations, the registry applies to all telemarketers and covers both intrastate and interstate telemarketing calls. However, the registry will not prevent all unwanted calls. The following types of calls are still allowed under the FTC rules:
