What you need to know:Sales Teams, Microsoft’s free upgrade to Windows 10 Offer is for qualified Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Phone 8.1 devices (including devices you already own) that are upgraded within one year of Windows 10 release to web.  Target Audience

o The Windows 10 Upgrade Offer is targeted at owners of Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update devices including Students, Home Users, Small Business, and Enthusiasts.

Customers who own devices with earlier versions of Windows, Enterprise editions of Windows, and versions of Windows RT are not target audiences.

  Eligibility

o PCs running with non-Enterprise editions of Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update that have been tested to be able to upgrade to Windows 10.

o Windows 7 (original release), Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 (original release) must first be updated to Windows 7 SP1 oro Window 8.1 Update and tested to be able to upgrade to Windows 10. These updates are available for free from Windows

Updateo Offer must be redeemed within one year of Windows 10 release to web (the day the upgrade is released to consumers via

Windows Update).o Redemption happens by installing the upgrade via the Windows Update control panel or by tech bench.o Windows 7 devices must have SP1 installed and Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices must have Windows 8.1 Update

installed. Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise, and Windows RT/RT 8.1 are excluded from the offer.

o Not all Windows 10 features will be available for use on all qualifying devices. Additional hardware and software requirements apply and will be further communicated.

o Devices must be connected to the Internet and have Windows Update enabled. ISP fees may apply.
