Purchased in 1675, The Witch House was the home of notorious Salem Witch Trial judge, Judge Jonathan Corwin. Corwin sent a record nineteen of the twenty Salem witches executed, to the gallows. All nineteen of the witches he ordered executed refused to admit any involvement with witchcraft and continued to defend their innocence down to their last breath. Judge Corwin's house is the only structure still standing with direct ties to the original Salem witch hunt.

This is where Martha Corey was poked, prodded and
publicly humiliated to prove that she was a witch. Judge
Jonathan Corwin held a meeting here, in his home, in order
to convince the trial jury that Corey was a witch by revealing
and examining several moles on her body.
