AUGUST 2013 Dearly beloved in Christ, Ephesians 5:18 says “Be filled with the Spirit”. This verse ends with a comma. The next verse describes the very first result of being under the Spirit's control: We sing. We make melody with our hearts. We communicate His presence within us by presenting our own, individual concert of Sacred Music. We don't see the reference of church in Eph. 5. We are often tempted to centralize our singing that we seldom engage in it once we walk away from a service. Did you sing on the way home after the Sunday service? How about Monday when you drove to work - or around the supper table? The spirit filled saint is a song filled saint. Animals can't sing. Neither pews or pulpits or Bibles or buildings – only you can. And your melody is broadcasted right into heaven, where God's antenna is always receptive. Your songs are always appreciated. Martin Luther, the warrior of faith had two basic objectives when he fired the th reformation during the 16 century. First, to give the people a Bible they could read on their own, and second, to give them a hymnal from which they could sing on their own. Now we have the Bible and we read it – but where has the melody gone? We simply do not sing as often as we ought. Whenever and whatever you sing concentrate on the lyrics. Add one or two songs to your day. Add this to your driving schedule or soap and shower time. Sing with your friend or members of your family. It will help you to break down all sorts of invisible barriers. Put on some beautiful music through your music system and watch what happens to the atmosphere. You can sing along with that even as you continue with your daily things. Never mind how beautiful or pitiful you may sound. You are not auditioning for the choir; you are making a melody with your heart. So sing out. Sing loud enough to drown out those defeating thoughts that clamor for attention. We are done with the Book of Romans in our Edavaka Mission Bible Study. This month I would like to start with the leadership traits of Nehemiah. Please come and join the study program.

AUGUST 2013

Dearly beloved in Christ,

Ephesians 5:18 says “Be filled with

the Spirit”. This verse ends with a comma.

The next verse describes the very first

result of being under the Spirit's control:

We sing. We make melody with our

hearts. We communicate His presence

within us by presenting our own,

individual concert of Sacred Music.

We don't see the reference of

church in Eph. 5. We are often tempted to

centralize our singing that we seldom

engage in it once we walk away from a

service. Did you sing on the way home

after the Sunday service? How about

Monday when you drove to work - or

around the supper table?

The spirit filled saint is a song filled

saint. Animals can't sing. Neither pews or

pulpits or Bibles or buildings – only you

can. And your melody is broadcasted right

into heaven, where God's antenna is

always receptive. Your songs are always

appreciated.

Martin Luther, the warrior of faith

had two basic objectives when he fired the threformation during the 16 century. First,

to give the people a Bible they could read

on their own, and second, to give them a

hymnal from which they could sing on

their own. Now we have the Bible and we

read it – but where has the melody gone?

We simply do not sing as often as we

ought.

Whenever and whatever you sing

concentrate on the lyrics. Add one or two

songs to your day. Add this to your driving

schedule or soap and shower time. Sing

with your friend or members of your

family. It will help you to break down all

sorts of invisible barriers. Put on some

beautiful music through your music

system and watch what happens to the

atmosphere. You can sing along with that

even as you continue with your daily

things.

Never mind how beautiful or pitiful

you may sound. You are not auditioning

for the choir; you are making a melody

with your heart. So sing out.

Sing loud enough to drown out

those defeating thoughts that clamor for

attention.

We are done with the Book of

Romans in our Edavaka Mission Bible

Study. This month I would like to start

with the leadership traits of Nehemiah.

Please come and join the study program.

We have completed the Book of

Galatians in Sevika Sanghom. As we are

starting a new book, I request more

participation in the Sevika Sanghom

gatherings.

I request all of you to participate

whole heartedly in the offertory collection

for the relief work organized by our church

for the people affected by heavy rain and

other natural calamities which happened

recently in our state as also in other

Northern States. Please uphold this

people in your prayers.
