Welcome to our ninth annual sale, before we get into talking about the offering, we would like to again take a moment to thank everyone. Whether it is bidding, buying, offering a helping hand, giving knowledgeable advice, taking the time for a tour and visit or allowing us to farm your land. Without your support we wouldn’t be able to continue doing what we love.

Our main goal each and every year is to bring you an animal that is of the highest quality. We spend countless hours looking for our next breeding pieces, with the idea that each individual will need to create offspring that will be profitable for the commercial market. Although 2020 was a hard year to get through, we were extremely excited as we took a huge step to adding to our genetic pool. When we heard that Skors Simmentals were dispersing we knew it was an opportunity to add a group of females that could only advance our red and black programs. Needless to say, we brought home 48 females and are extremely excited to watch the impact they will have for our clientele. The first sons out of these outstanding cows are within this offering. Again, this year we are excited to offer offspring out of our walking herd bulls, Elevation, Sawchuck and Challenger to name a few. All three of these bulls have exceeded our expectations and will have an ever lasting impression on our herd. Elevation and Challengers first daughters are now calving and one has to be excited about the impact these young cows will have on our herd going forward. All the yearling bulls have been fed together since the beginning of September. The bulls are eating a TMR diet that consists of corn and cereal silage, chopped hay and a starch free pellet. All the ingredients are tested and balanced to try and allow the animal to achieve a strong ADG without harming their long-term development.

For those of you who are new to our program, we are a family run purebred Simmental operation. We will be calving out close to 300 purebred females, some of which are part of our embryo program. We are fortunate to still be farming along side my parents, Barney and Melody. Over the years they have been our major support system giving us years of knowledge and many hours of help. Along side the purebred cows, Mom and Dad also run a large commercial herd. Although Mom and Dad own these cows, we feel fortunate to have them around as they help keep us focused on the overall end product that everyone is trying to achieve.

After purchasing the Skor cows we were fortunate to have picked up some high quality pasture just outside of Red Deer that the Skors have used for years. Terry phoned me last spring and asked if he could use a small corner of that pasture to pasture his bull calves. Long story short…… we are extremely thrilled to have Skor Simmentals joining us this year!!! Also, we are excited to have Beechinor Land and Livestock, Stefon and Rebecca Beechinor, DGR Cattle Co., Daryl and Roberta Renaud, Skyline Simmentals, Amanda Steffler and Butte Pebble Cattle Co., Karen Knox joining us this year. Be sure to check their offerings out as there are several interesting and high quality individuals from each consigner.

All the bulls are gene tested in one form or another. All the Fullblood bulls have been tested for the dilution gene. A non-dilutor will not throw a grey calf if crossed with a black cow. The red and black bulls have been tested for the homozygous polled gene. A Homozygous polled bull will poll 100% of his calves. Also, this year we tested the black bulls for coat color. A Homozygous black bulls calves will always have a black hair coat.

We know that sale day is busy for you and that there can be schedule conflicts. If for some reason or another you are unable to join us sale day, we highly encourage you to come out to the farm and view the bull pens at your convenience. DeliveryAll bulls that are remaining to be housed after the sale must be insured. Bulls will be housed free of charge until April 15, 2021. Animals will be delivered free of charge to points across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. EPD ExplanationEPDs are “Expected Progeny Differences”. They are a useful tool in selection. EPDs incorporate the individual animal with its ancenstry performance. EPDs do not compare across cattle breeds. They are individual-based per breed. EPDs indicate a probably variance above or below breed average for that trait for a given bull’s progeny. The accuracy of EPDs for calendar year bull calves is generally about 20% (one out of five times) so use it cautiously as one of several selection tools.

Welcome to Skor Simmentals as the newest guest to the Beechinor Bros. Bull Sale! Talk about adding more overall attractiveness combined with buyer convenience! This is an excellent cooperative effort that gives advantages to both buyer and seller.

The Beechinor Bros. & Guests Bull Sale has become one of Western Canada’s highly reputable sales for so many reasons. Collectively, John, Stefon, Brett & Barney have very purposefully coordinated a proper development program to grow these bulls in a moderate fashion. The large new bull pens accentuate this formula that much more. Customer service doesn’t take a back seat to anything either, which is a big bonus on buying a bull or bulls from this sale.

You will notice in the catalog that bull selection is taken seriously by John Beechinor. His Fullblood bulls will once again be headlined by the Elevation sons and the first group of sons from the $100,000 Sawchuk will sell. Heavy, soft made, hairy sons of Bluechip and Challenger are very noticeable in the Red Simmental category. Probably the black demographic has grown as much as any in the last year or so. Top A.I. sires compliment the pen for a variance of selection. John & Brett are also very pleased to have partnership cattle with Daryl Renaud included, and these are always in the higher end of the offering.

Stefon & Rebecca, who operate under Beechinor Land & Livestock, have an outstanding group of long yearling bulls that carry some of the most proven pedigrees you could imagine. They have some excellent yearling Fullblood

bulls, with a polled flavour, and their Red Simmi bulls are lead by some E.T. sons of Red Mountain out of a former LaBatte Simmsational high seller!

Amanda’s Skyline Simmentals outfit has a handful of bulls again, with a real sharp looking red baldy bull within that I think is real easy to find in the big Beechinor bullpen.

I’ll move back to Skor Simmentals now, and almost anyone and everyone reading this catalog will know of this legendary breeding program for their extremely successful bull sales and the historical female dispersal they had in December of 2019. John Beechinor very wisely chose to make a substantial investment to incorporate as many of the best Skor cows he could from that dispersal so the collaborative effort of now having these two programs align into one bull sale only makes perfect sense. The bulls offered by Skor’s are mothered by very “proven” cows who were retained, mostly for reasons of age, from the dispersal.

Binnington has been an eye catcher since the day he was born. His dark red colour combined with a big butt and wide topline have been features that always make a guy take a second look. As he has aged, his depth of heart and large feet have only added to the package. His mother, NUG 98E, is a perfect uddered female we purchased as a bred heifer from the Maxwell’s. Her first calf sold this past fall as a beautiful bred heifer going to the Dobbie’s in Ontario. Be sure to check this guy out. Did I mention that he started at 81lbs and weaned off at 880lbs. Mikko is a moderate framed, dark red, long spined bull with two large wrap around goggles. This bull is one that many visitors point out. He is a member of the Ingrid cow family, Ingrid = muscle, which this guy is full of. BEE 735E, Mikko’s dam, is a dark red moderate framed cow that is full of milk. Mikko’s granddam is BEE 143Y, a cow that has been extremely productive and still walks the farm today with solid feet. Tested Non Dilutor

We came across Sawchuck in the summer of 2018 during a pasture tour with Harry and Michelle. With Elevation being new and looking to be very promising we didn’t think we needed a second bull. As time went on the idea of not having him became a problem. His low birth weight and high growth was very attractive. Then when we saw him as a yearling, it became very apparent that he needed to come work at Beechinor Bros. This decision came with a bit of a price tag but we are pleased to say that his offspring are impressive. Dark red, easy fleshing and soggy are a couple words that come to mind.

This soggy almost blaze faced bull walks the pen demanding attention. Tukka’s bully presentation is matched with an outstanding temperament and great muscle definition. His mother, BEE 626D, was among the top two bred heifers in her respective year and hasn’t disappointed. She is a nice framed female with an outstanding udder and perfect teats. Rask has appealed to me since he was a little calf. His stylish presence along with his dark colouring and perfect structure is hard not to like. His dam, BEE 604D, is a young Vicking cow that is shaping up to be a super star. She comes from a long line of productive beautifully uddered females that have longevity flowing through their veins. Both Rask’s granddam and great granddam will be having calves again this year. Also note the shot of Viper in this guys pedigree! Tested Non Dilutor

Markstrom is a larger framed, blood red bull that is solid red on all four legs. Once you get to the ground you will note that all four feet are dark coloured. Markstrom’s dam is a more moderate framed cow that is a heavy milker. This pair spent the summer in the show pasture and visitors marvelled over the broodiness of BEE 586C. BEECHINOR BROS. SIMMENTAL BULL SALE6

Fleury is a moderate framed, big hipped, wide topped bull with an outstanding hair coat. This fully pigmented bull is one of three bulls that our son Easton will have on offer. Fleury’s dam, 22E, was my pick of the Lonestone bred heifer offering in her respective year. Her first calf sold this fall in the WesternHarvest Sale and ended up being one of the high selling females in that sale going to Keet Simmentals. 22E is a moderate

framed cow that milks extremely well. This year she is raising another bull calf that already has “the look”. Tested Non Dilutor

Holtby will stop you in your tracks! This lighter coloured, long spined, deep bodied bull is extremely eye appealing. Starting with his smooth skull he is built right for calving with inset shoulders. However, he then fills out with a deep sweeping rib and square hip. Holtby is 2D’s second son to pass through the bull sale giving her a perfect record. Her first calf sold in last years sale to Randy and Peggy Valstar. 2D is a lighter coloured cow that has a perfect udder and teats. Note this guy started small and used all his momma’s milk to put on the pounds. Tested Non Dilutor

As I write this comment, we just calved Price’s maternal sister. If only I could have a whole herd like her. Price himself is a long spined, smooth made bull that should calve with very little to no issues. His dam, BEE 231Z, has be a great cow for us. Unfortunately, she got a bad case of mastitis and lost two quarters last spring. Yes, that’s right she raised Price on two quarters. This goes to show how strong she was and with no creep feed Price fell a bit behind come weaning. Just imagine if he had had full milk! Tested Non Dilutor

This end of December born calf is something special. Pekka is a large framed, dark red, hairy bull that continues to get better and better with age. If you are looking to add some maternal lines to your herd, I would

take a serious look at this guy. His mother is none other than 46S. Suziestill walks around the farm as a 15 year old cow. Note that we have never touched her feet. At 15, Suzie in now retired from having to raise calves but puts her time and effort into creating embryos that will be used for years to come. I could go on and on about her but to make it short know that Pekka is filled with a powerhouse pedigree and will create offspring that will top the markets. Tested Non Dilutor

Timberjack is a bull that has been a pleasure to watch develop. He is a longer made bull with great depth and exceptional muscle shape. His mother, Amanda 27B, came to us via a herd purchase out of Quebec and this young cow has been nothing short of tremendous. Her first two calves were both heifers. The first sold in the Western Harvest Sale to Double E Fleckvieh in Iowa and the reports are extremely positive on her first calf. The second is a full sister to Timberjack and we are happy to report that she has a tremendous start of January born calf at side. We look forward to hearing about this guy in the near future. Elevation is a bull that we purchased as the Canadian high selling Fleckvieh back in 2018. We knew he was good and after hours and hours of research decided that he would be the one to leave a big impact on our herd. What we didn’t know is how consistent and how big that impact would be. Over the last two years his calves are born small and boy do they grow. On top of that he has done an exceptional job of adding capacity, hair and color to all his calves. We are currently calving his first daughters and wow their udders are exceptional. Expect his sons to sire a group of strong uddered females. Bonanza is a bull that has been easy to spot since the day he was born. Also, since that day he had some big shoes to fill as his full brother sold in last years sale. We purchased a flush on what could arguably be one of the top Fleckvieh Simmental cows in the breed from Ferme Gagnon and crossed her with the polled Raptor bull in hopes of creating some powerhouse maternally packed females. The resulting bulls from the cross do not disappoint. Kananaskis has had a huge influence on the breed with descendants all across Canada. She was a powerful donor cow with great feet and strong udder and lived to the ripe age of 17. Raptor is becoming one of the most popular bulls for creating perfect uddered super productive daughters. Gagnons recently sold a bred heifer that was a 3/4 sib to these bulls (Raptor x Kananakis daughter) for $38000 so its a cross that has proven to work well. Vanvleet 234H is an easy fleshing bull who has shown great muscle shape since he was very young. One must also admire his depth from his flank all the way to his heart. DNA tested Dilutor. Siakam 101H is a smooth made dark red heavily pigmented polled/scurred bull. Look to this guy to pass depth of body and length to his offspring. Tested non dilutor. The smooth polled Rex 34H is almost a month younger than the other two but has lots of growth. He is bigger framed with lots of length which equals more weight. One of two strong Standout sons. We have been using Standout for a number of years now and love the performance he puts into his calves. Like Armstrong, Standout’s offspring come with frame and a long spine.They also always come with big goggles and loads of middle. Jaromir is the first son to sell out of our new heifer bull, Jagr. This hairy, long spined bull would definitely be a candidate for a heifer pen. He has a nice small head and refined bone in his front legs. We have been very pleased with the calving ease provided by his sire over the last two years. His dam, 865F, is moderate framed female with a strong udder. She is one of several Dirty Harry daughters we have working in the herd. Braun is a lighter coloured bull that is again full of meat. Note he is a ¾ sibling to Scooter 862H. The Radison and Dirty Harry combination really worked. We always sell some high quality bred heifers every fall but when 807F, Braun’s dam, was on the list to go, I couldn’t let it happen. Although she was the pick by several visitors, we could not come to terms to sell her in the bred heifer sale. This is partly due to the fact that she was the first daughter out of BMS 48Z on our farm. Needless to say, she has calved four times heres and without a doubt you will be hearing a lot more about this cow family for years to come. Tested Dilutor

Despacito marks the third bull our son Easton has in the sale this year….. might be time for him to start his own sale…. This bull, like his dam and sire, is a dark red moderate framed bull that I wouldn’t be afraid to put in my heifer pen. The Radison calves are born easy and then start growing as soon as they hit the ground. We were so happy with the way he calved, we bred several bred heifers to him again this year and plan on using heavily a third time this coming spring. Wow, what a tank! Scooter is a bull that will be hard to pass by come sale day. This guy is full of meat and his rib shape is exceptional. This isn’t a surprise as both his dam, 862F, and his grand dam, 225Y, are big barrelled cows that don’t lack capacity in any form. A true feature of this years’ group. Creed ties together many traits that we look for in a bull. He’s got the stature, smooth design, easy fleshing ability and depth of rib. Combine this with his docile nature, dark red colour pattern, smooth polled head, fluid movement and you’ve got a pretty complete bull. He weaned off large and continues to impress with his growth curve. His dam is one ofmany productive Viper daughters working and backed by our most influential cow family. She is a big bodied cow with small teats and a nice udder. This entire maternal

line has left quite a legacy here. The matron Virginia Ms Suzie is going strong at 15 and still a very fertile flush cow. Confidence is a big bodied bull that was a former lead off bull from Double Bar D that has performed well for us. Another bull with an intriguing pedigree. He is a direct son of the She Devil cow that is one of our all time favourites. We crossed her with Valor for the influence of Unbelievable 1U and to combine our two top cow families. The maternal work is done and when you see this guy in the flesh you’ll be blown away by the sheer powerand presence. He is the pen leader in performance and crushed down the scale at 1650 lbs in mid November at 13

months old. He’s a large framed bull with lots of stretch and right full of muscle. If you’re looking to maximize on the big premiums for big calves this guy would be a good bet to sire that type. His daughters will be the money making kind as well. Non Dilutor.

A round muscled bull that is put together nicely. A more moderate type in the fall program but loads of eye appeal with his correct structure and overall mass. I feel like a broken record talking about cow families, but this guy once again comes from a great one. In this years’ sale you’ll see the influence of the Ingrid 99K continually. Gravity’s dam, 65W is strong uddered and super footed with an outstanding record. Many sons, daughters and grand-daughters have been high sellers through

the years. This entire cow family has the ability to put a big hind end and wide top on their calves and strong udders on the daughters. Frontier is another bull that’s been popular with visitors and hard not to admire. Dark red, hairy, strong pigment with a muscular build over his top and through his hind end. Stetson is a dark red, big framed, heavy haired Blue Chip son. His dam is a cow that has been around the farm for what feels like forever. 21X, came to us as the result of a pick of the bred heifer pen purchase from Mappin Simmentals back in the fall of 2011. She caught our eye with her blood red colour and exceptional depth of body which she has passed onto every single one of her offspring. You’ll have to pick your jaw up after you see this bull. This blood red bull is so dark that he even has some black pigment starting to appear. After you get past his colour you will find a bull that has tremendous rib capacity and great length. Red Whiskey 7H was raised by his now 14 year old dam, Skors 103T. 103T is a big volume cow that has longevity built in as she is due to calve again this spring. She has been one of Skors top producing females and has the ability to raise top end progeny no matter what sire was selected. Every bull she has had has made it to the bull sale. This guy has always had a real cool look to him so I had to call him McCool. But really, I have always admired this bull for his smooth lines heavy muscling and pure presence. Some people say they are born with it and on this guy I would agree. I liked him so much that I breed his mother, BEE 603D, back the same way. She just laid down the other day and had a full brother. 603D herself is a larger framed dark red commotion daughter that has a great udder and good milk. Calloway is a bull that could have started the red section. This bull is not only a bull that is very complete but is one that has been picked out all year long. His sire is none other than IPU Lieutenant. These are the first calves we have had out of him and we are extremely pleased. Rolex is a bull that one has to admire for his length and depth. Not to say that he is in anyway lacking in width. Rolex’s dam was a part of the major purchase from the Skors and we were very excited when she was a part of it. This cow is extremely deep and is a pleasure to look at with her added length of spine. These three flush brothers each combine exceptional qualities showing the consistency of this cross while maintaining their own unique characteristics. Their dam was a past high seller from the strong Labatte program and stems from one of the strongest cow families in the breed, Pocahontas 68M. The 61C donor dam has been excellent producer with some unfortunate luck of losing bull calves, no fault of her own. She has also produced a very strong daughter who impressed us with her heifer calf last year. Red Mountain has proven to last the test of time and has the ability to raise progeny that are right for todays market. He is easy calving and his calves display great phenotypes and strong maternal characteristics. Red Mountain semen has been limited so these bulls offer a unique opportunity. A flush mate sister is one of our very favourites in the replacement pen. Cypress 01H was the first one born with a low 274 day gestation. He is small headed, smooth shouldered and expressive muscle pattern with deep chest floor, soggy middle and big barrel. Great spread from a modest birthweight to 885 lb actual weaning weight at end of August. Mountain Man 17H is the most powerful of the brothers. His recip dam spent the previous summer dry and held onto him a little longer. He quickly showed off impressive growth and led the entire BLL group at weaning. He is big barrelled, squarely built, and eye appealing. Alpine 04H is another short gestation bull with lots of extension through his front end showing indications of calving ease. Chet is a large framed, deep sided blood red bull that we have watched very close from a young age. His sire, Approval, is a bull that sold the same day as Elevation. I remember going to Black Gold Sale and even though I was there to check out Elevation. I found myself looking at Approval. Chet’s dam, 1A, is a cow that consistently puts a good calf in the pen year after year. She has an outstanding udder and most simply put, a no fuss kind of female. Tesla is a long spined, heavy muscled, thick haired bull that is a natural calf out of the $31000 High Selling Ruby cow that we bought at the Workman dispersal. This bull is one that I thought would run out of juice. It didn’t take long last spring for this guy to become one of the big boys and he never looked back. This small headed, dark red, soggy bull is the third bull in a row that BEE 332A has put into our annual bull sale. I am happy to report that this streak has come to an end. This may sound strange but I have been hoping for a heifer calf out of 332A and it finally happened. This cow has an amazing ability to produce bulls that are loose made and extremely soggy. All three of her sons have been very similar in style. By adding Approval to the mix, I would expect Titleist to improve udders and his daughters to be extremely productive. Homo Polled

Edinburg is a performance bull that has been among the favorites from the start. It’s hard not to like a bull that has a big square hip, long spine and more than adequate depth of body. All of these traits are very commonly passed on by his sire Missile. His dam, BEE 6X, is a big framed cow that has stood the test of time. This heavy milking cow has continuously brought home the big calves and she is already working at doing it again with another bull calf born at the start of January. Bridgestone just has something about him. I don’t know if it’s his softness, outstanding neck extension, his great haircoat or maybe all of the above in combination. Missile is a bull we have been using over the last few years and appreciate his ability to add depth of body while adding a square hip. The first females are very similar in style and are looking as though they will be easy doing cows that have the ability to raise attractive calves. Bridgestone’s dam, BEE 157Y, is again a highly productive cow. At 10 years old this cow still has an outstanding udder and a youthful look to her. Don’t let his birthweight fool you, he came out unassisted and spry as ever. His dam holds herself well with her size. This is another bull that would add some size to moderate females. He is thick throughout with a clean front end. This bull is half fullblood which is where he gets his sogginess from. Blix is a solid footed cow with a great udder. She puts all she has into her calves, but holds her condition well. Astro is our top herd bull and out does himself every year. Here is a bull that hard not to like. Macgyvar is a bull that has depth all the way from his chest through to his rear. Captain Scream is a bull who created a huge stir around the Simmental community before his untimely death. Semen has fetched as high as $600 a straw. BEE 748E, Macgyvar’s dam, is a young cow that has already written an impressive story. She was one of our top replacement females in her respective year. Her first daughter just sold this fall in the Western Harvest Sale to Rainy Creek Farms. Macgyvar is her second calf and she calved early this year having another very impressive bull calf. When it comes to the dam of Horizon its hard to find a place to start. Chanzie is very well known for packing the middle and growth into her calves. Well, here he is. We have been saving this guy for a few years now……. well, he was frozen as an embryo. This bull is a full brother to our old walking herd bull Commotion. So, to honour him we decided this guy should carry on his legacy by also being named Commotion. This will be the fourth full sibling out of this genetic combination of Crosby and KOP 67U. All of which have been big bodied, soft made, hairy bulls. The Crosby females are known for their tremendous udders and their ability to raise top end livestock. 67U made her mark here by leaving us a group of females who leave us soggy made offspring year after year. Isenhower will be one of the first bulls to sell in Canada out of the highly acclaimed KWA Roosevelt. Isenhower himself is a dark red, long spined bull that will raise an outstanding set of calves. Rawlings is the result of a flush we did that combined our new Workman cow, Ruby, and Challenger. This bull may have one of the squarest hips on him in the entire pen. The Ruby cow, PWK 52Y, was the high seller out of the Workman dispersal and her ability to raise those big heavy calves didn’t go unnoticed. The only two females she has had, other than the sister to Rawlings in our replacement pen this year, are currently working in the great herds of X-T Simmentals and Crossroads Farms. Hawkeye is a solid red bull that is again a result of a purchase at the Skors Dispersal sale. Skors 170D moved high on our list as she is a direct daughter to the maternal powerhouse Skors 24X. 24X herself is an extremely deep bodied cow that is as dark red as you can make them. 170D herself is much like her mother having a deep sweeping rib and with a nice udder. Hawkeye is sired by another new sire that was one of the main highlights at the Wheatland Bull Sale in 2019. These calves will again mark some of the first in Canada out of this up and coming sire. I can’t say I have ever seen a bull with as much hair as this guy. I remember the exact moment this calf was born. First probably because we were excited to see the calf out of what we felt was one of the top bred heifers at the Skors dispersal. When I walked up, I couldn’t believe that his big Captain Scream bred heifer had had a small calf and yet it looked like it was part mammoth by its hair coat. This first time mom did a great job taking this guy from a small little 79lbs calf to a bull that weaned off over 800+lbs. Let this guy put a little Moola in your pocket. Junior is a moderate framed, thick made bull who is extremely dark red. This guy is an interesting combination of the female maker Bootlegger and the powerhouse Captain Scream. It is basically impossible to find Bootlegger semen on the market and when you do you better act fast as it won’t be available for long. Humphrey is the definition of a smooth made bull. His small head connects to his shoulders and flows to his rib very well. He is stout made as sound as they come. His dam was purchased from this Bull Sale in 2018 and has never missed a beat. She is a long made sure footed cow with an impeccable udder. Edge, Humphreys sire, is our sure shot heifer bull. We rarely have to touch a calving heifer and we couldn’t be happier with his performance. Overall, Humphrey would make a great fit to any operation and could follow in his father steps as a heifer bull.

Hank got his name early as a calf. We called him Hank the Tank. Hank came off the cow at 840lbs at the beginning of September and never stopped growing. If size is what you’re after, look no further. Hank comes out of a percentage female who knows how to raise calves. This solid footed female packs the pounds onto her calves while maintaining a great condition all year round. Terminator is a smooth made bull who preforms well no matter what you breed him to. He is the most solid footed bull we’ve had to date and never misses a beat. Hugo is the type of bull we like to raise. He is long spined, smooth shouldered and should calve like a dream. His sire, Edge (a Cliffhanger son), has been our main heifer bull for the last three years. Hugo was unassisted out of a first calf heifer. His grand dam is a fullblood cow, Chanzie. He is related to SLS 5H, earlier in the catalogue. Hugo holds himself well against the bigger bulls in the pen and hasn’t skipped a beat. Felicity is a standout cow who I am very happy about. She is a big footed, big middled cow with a long spine and a wide top. Her udder couldn’t be any better. Hugo is very impressive. If you’re looking for a heifer bull check this guy out as he may be the one to add to your heifer pen.

O’Keefe is a bull that one tries not to get too excited about as he is almost too good to be real. This baldie faced bull has a deep sweeping rib, large square hip, big strong feet and loads of hair. Combustible is a bull we used a few years back and had great success with both his male and female offspring. Striker is a heavy haired black bull that is loose hided and gets around with ease. Being a full brother to our 2018 high seller he has always

had some big shoes to fill. That being said, he didn’t disappoint weaning off with an actual weight of 910lbs at the beginning of September. Certified is a bull that I have really enjoyed watching develop. He is smooth in his lines and yet has just the right amount of body and shape. We have been extremely happy with the Approval offspring with several being born to first calf heifers and are super excited to calve out his first daughters next winter. As we toured the cows prior to the Skors dispersal sale, Terry was sure to show me two sisters. These sisters stemmed from a bull that they raised called Skors Black Joker 217Z. What I remember most is Terry’s comment about how he wished he had kept more daughters out of this bull. Now I understand why, Peloton was born with a modest 92lbs birth weight and by weaning he pushed the scaled down to 960lbs. Rakuten is a big framed, solid made bull who is sired by Captain Morgan, a bull that continues to create highly useful offspring. This performance bull is a full brother to a black bull that I felt was one of Skors best bulls last year. Originally, I thought that Rakuten’s dam was getting to be an older cow and that her years might be numbered. As I did my homework, I was amazed at how many times I kept coming back to this cow. This heavy haired deep ribbed bull is an early February born calf that doesn’t give up much to his older brothers. 50H is an interesting calf and he again is sired by the popular Skors Blaze bull, who as mentioned earlier is a member of one of Skors strongest cow families. 50H’s dam, Skors 125Z, is a bigger framed long bodied cow that has a really strong udder which holds a nice set of smaller teats. Jackpot is a long spined bull that has a tremendous haircoat and bit of a different pedigree. His sire is the $202 000 bull Wheatland Terminator. This bull is the second son that we will have on offer out of our walking black herd bull, Michelin. He comes by his name honestly as he ended up getting a tire stuck on his head for nearly a month as we tried to figure out how to corral him to get it off. Blinders on a bull makes chasing extremely difficult. Firestone is a moderate framed bull that is deep sided and has an outstanding hip on him. Oreo is a bigger framed, heavy haired black bull that comes to you with that extra length of spine. If you have followed the Skors genetics over the years you will see that this guy has a balanced combination of performance and maternal power. Skors Blaze was a bull that was a standout in his year and Skors decided to keep semen on him. Not a bad idea considering he was the son out of one of their top female lines. They then took that semen and crossed it to another maternal line, Skors 275U. One would think this leads to an animal that has too much maternal but when you see the size of this guy you will know that his steers won’t be lacking come weaning. Homo Polled Hetero Black

Here is a mid-February bull that has no trouble standing in with his older brothers. Duratrac is a blaze faced, deep sided black bull that hasn’t missed a beat since the day he was born. His dam, BEE 423B, is a Black Joker granddaughter and she would put a lot of Holstein cows to shame with her milk production. She too is a blaze faced cow and has a track record that’s getting to be rather impressive. She has a son working for Bigview Stock Farms, a daughter working for Butte Pebble Co. and another daughter that is due to have her first calf for us this winter. This heavy haired smooth made bull is a direct son of Skors Black Enticer 4W. Not only is 4W a bull that calves like a dream but his females are extremely hard to beat. They are highly productive and have lots of milk to bring in good calves year after year. Enticer 14H’s dam, Skors 67C, is a moderate framed cow that is heavy muscled and is an extremely easy keeping female. straw. Flex’s dam, IPU 197E, is only a third calver this winter and has already built an impressive resume. This fall her daughters were a choice lot at the Western Harvest Bred Heifer Sale and they were very well received with the choice heifer selling for $14000 and going to up and comers Blazin J Inc. The heifer we brought back home had a little heifer calf and that heifer is now one of the biggest in the pen. Henley’s dam was purchased from City View Simmentals in 2019. This is her first calf and he sure makes me excited about her future progeny. Henley is long spined, big boned and hairy to boot. He is very docile and easy to handle. Nordica is a long spined deep bodied cow who has great feet and an even better udder. She’s a moderate framed cow who outdid herself with this calf. Red Summit is a very well known bull in the industry and he preforms very well. We will be using Red Summit on our top cows to really see what he’s made of.

This is a bull that we have been excited about for quite some time. This long spined bull’s dam, Skors 203B, impressed us from the very first time we saw her. Bronco is a bull that has been an outstanding calf from day one. We typically don’t expect our first calf females to bring in calves that walk alongside the cow’s calves. However, by pasture time this guy wasn’t only walking along side but was passing them and spent the summer in the show pasture with the elite. Bronco’s dam, BEE 823F, is a moderate made female that has a beautiful udder and like her mother, BEE 423B, has plenty of milk. I could go on and on about this bull. Genetically he is all there. TERMS The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for his purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released.

BID Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder.

SALES TAXES Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller.

DISPUTES In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.

PURCHASER’S RISK Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

INFORMATION SUPPLIED The information contained in this catalogue is believed to be true and accurate. However, the information has been supplied by the seller and neither Transcon Livestock Corp. or Keltey Whelan Designs assume any responsibility if the information supplied is not accurate.

ANNOUNCEMENTS from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY A registration/recordation certificate issued by the applicable breed association and duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after settlement has been made. It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine the acceptance of this certificate in any other association.

SHIPPING Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed by the Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.

BREEDER’S GUARANTEE As per applicable Canadian Breed Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. Copies are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price.

EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void.

HEALTH It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.

ACCIDENTS Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.
