A Letter from Fr. Ed
Dear Parishioner, I want to take this opportunity to thank all our staff members and volunteers who helped us in our reopening last weekend. I was concerned if we would have enough with all our Masses. The reason being is that so many of our wonderful people are dealing with physical ailments and wouldn’t be able to help us. We ended up with an abundance! Thank you for your dedication to our parish. If anything, we were overly prepared, but that’s not a bad thing, it is a good thing. Now we are ready for a larger number of people to come for Mass. Our volunteers were a very hopeful sign for me during these difficult times. You know by now that we will not be able to use North School because of the pandemic. We will be moving the intentions that we have for the 10:00am Mass to the 5:30pm Mass on Sun-days, it will be the same day you requested. I hope you will be able to make Fr. Jose’s farewell on June 24th. He will be leaving for Indiana on Monday, June 29th at 3:00am. There is no way I would be leaving at that hour! But he is an early riser. A priest does not always know how he touched someone’s life. This is a wonderful opportuni-ty to let him know what kind of impact he had on you. We certainly wish him well and I am very happy I had him as an associate for three years. He was a big help. God Bless,
Fr. Ed

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all
thinks, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You
sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never
permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
Do we have your email address?

name to [email protected] and request to be put on our family “Stay in Touch” email

Message from Deacon Jerry Jablonowski Director, VITALity Catholic Healthcare Services These days of the Coronavirus pandemic have been so difficult to endure for a great many people. As you know, especially hard hit has been our elderly brothers and sisters. This disease, which yet cannot be cured, certainly can be somewhat contained by our public health measures of social distancing, staying home, mask wearing and frequent hand washing. I know that for many of you, staying safe and protected from this virus has led to feelings of sadness, loneliness, and fear in the grip of such isolation. Being separated from loved ones – children and grandchildren, friends and neighbors- is a difficult cross to bear. And for many of faith, the separation from your Church or place of worship, adds even further to your feelings of frustration and sorrow. In light of all this, know that we at VITALity are continuing to do our part, to the best of our ability, to serve you, our most valuable and yet most vulnerable, members of our South Jersey community. Our hospital Chaplain- priests, deacons and trained lay people- along with our nurses and social workers in Care Coordination, continue to carry on in their ministries of care and compassion under new and adaptive safe ways. And even though many of our local parish programs and services have been put “on hold” for now in order to comply with the State of New Jersey public health guidelines, many, such as Stephen Ministers and Parish Nurses, are doing their best through remote means to stay connected with those they serve. Our parish Senior Clubs and Senior Social Day Centers, which many of you may be a part of, struggle with the current reality of staying apart and social distancing. Yet, many are providing unique and technologically current ways – like ZOOM meetings- to keep in touch, pray together, and share life experiences. As we have just recently celebrated the great Feast of Pentecost, let us all pray that we welcome the Holy Spirit to become a vibrant part of our lives and help lead us, both individually and collectively as a community, through these challenging times. It will be through the blessings of the Lord that we will emerge soon into a new, safe reality, where we can again be together socially. Where we will share our physical presence with one another and share in the celebration of our faith through worship as a community of the faithful, united in prayer and thanksgiving. If you need anything that VITALity can provide or have questions that need answered about your health and well-being, please reach out to us through our Help-Line. 1-888-26 VITALity (1-888-268-4825). We are here for you! God bless you. Stay well. Stay safe. Stay connected.
