2019 Respect Life Theme
EVERY LIFE CHERISHED. CHOSEN. SENT.
“You who are my messenger, in you I place my absolute
trust”.
Our Lady of Guadalupe

Think about praying for an unborn baby and their families. Every
day 4000 babies are killed by abortion. They have so little
protection only the hand of God can end this. Prayer is the best
weapon to help them…the most effective. Say this prayer for nine
months to save a baby’s life.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much, I beg you to
spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually
adopted who is in danger of abortion.
.BEING PROLIFE is:
believing that a baby's life is a gift that should be
cherished.
believing that a mother is a precious human life with
value and dignity.
believing that all human life belongs only to the
Creator who gave us life.
believing that all life is God's to give and take .

“I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is 'Abortion',
because it is a war against the child... A direct killing of the
innocent child, 'Murder' by the mother herself... And if we
can accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how
can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we
persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we
must persuade her with love... And we remind ourselves
that love means to be willing to give until it hurts...”

One of the most powerful statements that St. Paul can
say is; “By the grace of God.” Our Lord looked upon
Paul with grace even though he was persecuting
Christians. He touched Paul with grace and mercy. He
over a period of time showed Paul how much he cared
for him. We look at our sins and may feel that we could
never be forgiven or healed. We may feel that our Lord
would never use us to bring mercy and peace to others.
All of us can be forgiven of our sins. No sin is too great
that God wouldn’t forgive it and bring us back to him.

The good Shepard comes looking for us. He doesn’t
abandon us, only we abandon Him. When Jesus chose
his disciples, it wasn’t because they were super smart or
intelligent or super holy. They simply were fisherman
yet our Lord would touch their hearts to shape and form
them in his likeness. Each time we come here we are
being shaped and formed in His image and likeness. We
become more like him. Jesus over and over says ; “Do
not be afraid.” All he asks of us is that we believe we
are shaped and formed in his image and likeness.

Blessed Rosalie Rendu
“Never have I prayed so well as in the streets” Blessed Rosalie
Rendu
Date of birth:9 September 1786
Place of birth: Confort, France
Died:7 February 1856
Beatified:9 November 2003
Feast Day:7 February
When 17 years old, Jeanne entered the Motherhouse of the
Daughters of Charity and received the name Rosalie. She took
vows to serve God and the poor . . . She opened a free clinic, a
pharmacy, a school, an orphanage, a childcare center, a home for
the elderly and a youth club for young workers. She became
known as the “good mother of all”, and “The Mother of the Poor”.
She helpedFrederick Ozanam and his friends to do good works,
which is how the St Vincent de Paul Society was started. She
taught Frederic much about the poor and how to minister to them
with love and respect. The first members of the Society were
determined not only to bring bread, but, above all, friendship to
the poor. (US Manual of the SSVDP)

The Rights of the Unborn are being attacked. Infants in their
mother’s wombs are being threatened by death at every stage of
their development. Children are being sentenced to deplorable
destruction at the hands of abortionists, medically trained or not.
Our Pastor, Father Paul has asked us to pray to stop the legislation
that seems hell bent on killing unborn children, and allowing
botched abortion babies to lay dying, unaided in their death.
Contact you legislators! Tell them, “No!” . . . this is NOT what
we want for our state. Defeat 2019 H 5125 & 2019 H5127

STATUS OF A PLACE OF OUR OWN, REPORT #5 JANUARY 7, 2019
Our new building is now far along toward completion and we can see what a beautiful building it is, and something
we will be proud of for the next century. We are especially appreciative of the efforts of our architect Barry Goewey
and our builder Mike Cocci. We owe them our sincere thanks.

The exterior of the building has been completed with the addition of the lighting, and if you drive by the building at
night, it is a beautiful sight. The new lamp poles have been added as planned and the old lamp poles will be
converted to LED lights to give us a longer lasting and trouble free configuration. You probably noticed that the
parking lot has been striped and in the spring, the rough area near the road will be repaved and striped.

A great many items need to be completed before we can occupy the building and although it is not going quite as fast
as we would like, we will get there soon. The sheet rock is done and it will all be plastered next week. This is
followed by a drying period and then painting. Pantry and bathroom tile will be installed, then kitchen cabinets,
lighting, and final painting.

The remaining floors will be covered with vinyl tiles, except for the entry ways, office and conference room, which
will have carpet squares installed. Finally, our moveable panels will be installed.

I say that “good things come to people who are patient”, or as Fr. Paul said “Men plan,,,God laughs”. We had an
optimist plan to finish in December, it now is likely to be finished in February. Quite good when you realize the wet
weather we have had, and a few other small delays that all added up.

When we are done we will have a truly outstanding building that we can all be proud of, and it blends with the
chapel beautifully, is sited on the lot tastefully and is consistent with the character of the neighborhood.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support and don't forget that Doug Noble is still accepting donations/
pledges.
