In the Gospel today, the disciples decide to leave everything to follow Jesus. We are also called to follow Jesus, who tells us that “whatever you do to the least of mine, you do for me.”

Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?’ ‘Here I am,’ I said, ‘send me!’” (Isaiah 6:8) Every day, in little ways and in big ways, God asks, “Whom shall I send?” Whether it is someone to take on a new ministry, to give a friendly smile to a stranger or say a word of encouragement to a friend, God constantly provides opportunities to help someone in need. The next time you hear God calling, have the courage to walk through the door and say “Here I am, Lord.”

2019 Children’s Church Envelopes
St. Louis Church Children’s Envelopes for 2019 are available. If you would like your child to have a box, please call the Religious Education office at (508) 943-0817 or the Rectory Office at (508)943-0240. We will assign your child a number and get the box of envelopes to you.
BREAD OF LIFE KITCHEN The next Bread of Life Kitchen is Tuesday, Feb. 12th. Again, the prep time is noon and if anyone is interested in helping to serve from 4:45-6:30PM, please call Mrs. Forget at (508)943-0817.
Famine Retreat ~ Feb. 18, 2019 Here at St. Louis Church Hall, 7AM-7PM.
Participants will go without food (plenty of drinks) for about 30 hours (on their honor at home the night before) to help save kids lives locally and globally. We go without food and raise money to help others. All will learn about hunger, pray, form tribes, play famine games and more. You can help by sponsoring someone who is participating. You can send the money to Mrs. Forget, all $ goes to local and global charities. If you are a student and want to participate, see Mrs. Forget for an information packet. Knights of Columbus Council #228 All members are welcome to the Knights of Columbus meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 13th at 7:00pm in the Fr. Marcotte Hall. All meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL RECRUITMENT The St. Vincent de Paul Society is looking for new volunteers, due to health and out-of-area moves. Our conference represents the cluster parishes of Sacred heart, St. Louis, and St. Anthony of Padua, and serves the Webster-Dudley community. We help our clients get on their feet with food, rent, electric and gas bills, etc. We are constantly trying to improve our outreach.
We need your help to do this, and invite you to an informational meeting and sign-up in the hall behind the Emmaus Chapel on Day St. at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, February 19th. Come and see!
Thank You to all who helped make the “Souper Bowl” a great success last weekend! We collected $1,000! Thank you to the students who helped by being there to hold the bowls and to all who donated to support both Food Share and St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Calix is a fellowship that provides Catholic support for those seeking freedom from the slavery of addiction, and for their families and friends who also suffer. A key mission of the Calix Society is to lead members back to the rich sacramental life of the catholic Church, by “substituting the cup that stupefies with the one that sanctifies.”
The next Calix meeting will take place on Saturday, Feb.16th from 1:30pm-2:45pm, with the potential for Adoration or the sacrament of Reconciliation to follow. It takes place in the lower level of the Emmaus Center.
