Who will go for us?’ ‘Here I am,’ I said, ‘send me!’” (Isaiah 6:8) Every day, in little ways and in big ways, God asks, “Whom shall I send?” Whether it is someone to take on a new ministry, to give a friendly smile to a stranger or say a word of encouragement to a friend, God constantly provides opportunities to help someone in need. We will assign your child a number and get the box of envelopes to you. BREAD OF LIFE KITCHEN The next Bread of Life Kitchen is Tuesday, Feb. 12 th . Famine Retreat ~ Feb. 18, 2019 Here at St. Louis Church Hall, 7AM-7PM. Participants will go without food (plenty of drinks) for about 30 hours (on their honor at home the night before) to help save kids lives locally and globally. We go without food and raise money to help others. All will learn about hunger, pray, form tribes, play famine games and more. You can help by sponsoring someone who is participating. You can send the money to Mrs. Forget, all $ goes to local and global charities. If you are a student and want to participate, see Mrs. Forget for an information packet. Please contact Mrs. Forget at 943-0817. Knights of Columbus Council #228 All members are welcome to the Knights of Columbus meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 13 th at 7:00pm in the Fr. Marcotte Hall. All meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL RECRUITMENT The St. Vincent de Paul Society is looking for new volunteers, due to health and out-of-area moves. Our conference represents the cluster parishes of Sacred heart, St. Louis, and St. Anthony of Padua, and serves the Webster-Dudley community. We help our clients get on their feet with food, rent, electric and gas bills, etc. We are constantly trying to improve our outreach. We need your help to do this, and invite you to an informational meeting and sign-up in the hall behind the Emmaus Chapel on Day St. at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, February 19 th . Come and see! Thank You to all who helped make the “Souper Bowl” a great success last weekend! We collected $1,000! A key mission of the Calix Society is to lead members back to the rich sacramental life of the catholic Church, by “substituting the cup that stupefies with the one that sanctifies.” The next Calix meeting will take place on Saturday, Feb.16 th from 1:30pm-2:45pm, with the potential for Adoration or the sacrament of Reconciliation to follow.
