AGENDA
Welcome Grand Knight Stephen M. Van Natten Invocation Rev. Michael P. Rush, Pastor Pledge of Allegiance Harry Wahl Breakfast Introduction Grand Knight Stephen M. Van Natten Guest Speaker Ret. Air Force Capt. Ralph Galati Closing Prayer Rev. Alvaro Diaz
The mission of the Father Thomas F. Blake Council is to maintain an organization within which the Knights of Columbus ideal “In service to One, In service to All.” becomes a constant reality. Through the activities of our Fraternal Brotherhood we seek to create an environment in which a broad range of opportunities are available to enrich the spiritual, fraternal and social growth of each Brother Knight of the Council. In so doing we expect that the following goals will become a standard underpinning of our Council.
1. Improve communications and inclusion of all Knights in the parish community. Foster a greater liaison and mutual support between those parish ministries within which we serve.
2. Greater participation in activities and events – Social, Spiritual, Community, Outreach, etc.
3. Orient our time, treasure and skill sets toward support of “Children in Need or at Risk”
4. Increase the pro-active membership of the council
Knights of Columbus Father Blake Council # 2560
Ocean City, NJ Dear Saint Damien Parishioners and Friends, The Knights of Columbus Council 2560 extends a sincere “Thank You” and “Welcome” to all participants at this 2019 Saint Damien Communion Breakfast. Today, members of the parish, their families and friends have come together to celebrate our vibrant, faith based parish community. The good fellowship and fraternity that we share today only adds to the enjoyment of this annual event, as does the beautiful venue of the Flanders Hotel.
The proceeds from this Communion Breakfast will support the various local Christian-oriented charities of the Knights of Columbus Council 2560 and our Parish. We are reminded of the need to support Faith filled activities and education as we see the difficult struggles of those who suffer today simply because of their religion throughout the world. It is undeniable that the future of our faith community lies with our children. Therefore, it is becoming more and more critical that we support our children in developing their Faith through routine family life activities through our Saint Damien Parish Family. Your presence today shows you care. Your support in these efforts is greatly appreciated. May God bless you and your family and thank you for your participation in our common objectives.
