The purpose of this letter is to formally invite
you, on behalf of the Organising Committee of
the South African Geophysical Association’s
15th Biennial Conference & Exhibition, to submit
abstracts for either oral or poster presentation.
Our venue, The Lord Charles Hotel is one of the
premier conference venues in Cape Town.
Conveniently situated in the Cape Winelands, just
half an hour’s drive from Cape Town International
Airport and the CBD, it will provide a refined and
contemporary style to the 15th Conference &
Exhibition.
The theme of “Expanding Frontiers”, broadly
aims to facilitate and encourage technical
creativity and expansion to more closely
collaborate with neighbouring disciplines. Authors
are encouraged to showcase new, innovative
ideas of addressing modern-day geo-scientific
issues and problems. The technical sessions held
during the Conference are an ideal platform to
engage directly with partners, clients and industry
experts to develop thinking and showcase one’s
brand.
The Conference will attract a range of delegates,
which will include:
Mining juniors & majors
Petroleum companies
Geophysicists, geologists, hydrologists

providers
