Turicum Private Bank is a privately-owned Bank and asset
management firm. Our roots can be found in the origin of our
name ‘Turicum’, which is the Latin name that was given to
Zurich by the Romans when they founded the city in I5BC.
The Bank was established in 1993 by bankers, asset managers
and lawyers from Zurich and Geneva. However our home is
in Gibraltar which is highly recognised for its financial and
political stability and its favourable business environment.
Additionally, we operate a Representative Office in Zurich,
one of the world’s leading financial centres.
By upholding integrity and professionalism, Turicum is able to
promote itself as a safe and stable financial institution that is
capable of providing a fully integrated private banking service.

client’s bankable assets is allocated to the different asset
classes (such as liquidity, bonds, equities etc.). Several

Gibraltar has been a British overseas territory since 1713,
when the Treaty of Utrecht determined that the territory
was to become part of Britain ‘in perpetuity’. Gibraltar is an
independent jurisdiction, though some powers, such as
defence and foreign relations, remain the responsibility of the
United Kingdom. Gibraltarians enjoy full British Citizenship.
Historically, the Rock of Gibraltar was known, along with the
Rif Mountains in Morocco, as the Pillars of Hercules, from the
Greek legend about the creation of the Straits of Gibraltar.
The name Gibraltar derives from the Arabic, Jabal Tariq
(“mountain of Tariq”), after the Moorish General who
conquered the rock in 711 AD. Gibraltar proved to be a
fortress of British strength in modern times, providing for
Atlantic and Mediterranean naval control, even hosting
General (and former U.S. President) Dwight D. Eisenhower for
several months.
