• Mobilized at Floyd Bennet Field (Brooklyn)

– NYC Craft: electricians, plumbers, laborers,
steamfitters,
– TPC employees from nearly all BU’s and
– Medical facility (D/A Testing and
medical/case management)
• Within 2 weeks ~ 500 people on the ground with
~ 200 vehicles. 4/11/2013

• Shelter in Place (within 4 days)
– Assessment (including ES&H)
• Plus – if needed, Hazard communication,
Asbestos, lead paint and mold etc.*
– Provide heat
– Provide hot water
– Restore electrical service
– Temporary home/apartment exterior, e.g.

19,000 families
~ 16, 000 homes/apartments
Returned ~ 158 families/day
