The ACCU-CHEK Safe-T-Pro lancet’s safety tabs are positioned in a T-shape, designed to break after a single use.

After the blue button is depressed, the spring-loaded firing action breaks the safety tabs to prevent reuse.

Simple two-step process:

Remove blue sterility cap with a simple twist.

Cleanse the puncture site according to your facility’s protocols, then gently hold lancet against side of fingertip (middle or ring finger is recommended2) and press blue button to activate. Excess pressure on the finger should be avoided. Properly discard the lancet and cap after use.Safety mechanisms:
