BYPL Safety Policy
Safety Initiatives for public Safety SMS in Hindi are sent on mobile of each registered consumer on periodic basis.
Safety plays are organized in schools and streets to aware the school children and public
about electrical hazards. Safety quiz is carried out along with gift distribution.
Cont……. Safety messages and electrical safety tips are circulated to consumers from time
to time along with electricity bills (in a magazine called synergy) and also circulated in various groups on watsapp.
Cont…… Public awareness camps and customer engagement programs are organized from
time to time at prominent places.
Monthly safety campaign carried out in all the divisions, in which all the staff survey
area for unsafe observations and rectify the same based on their category (Most critical, critical and less critical).
Pamphlets containing safety messages (DO’s & DON’T’s with electricity) are
distributed at consumer help centers.

have been put up near group meters.

In FY 18-19, Total 350 street plays were organized across various BYPL locations to sensitize the consumers about electricity safety procedures. Approximately, 28000 people attended the Nukkad Nataks.

employees and oath is being administered
daily while reporting on duty.

awareness amongst the employees.
Safety Score card has been implemented to measure
safety performance.
Electrical Safety Officer as per CEA reg. has been

Safety engineers are located in each division of BYPL to
carry out safety inspections on daily basis and remove any
unsafe conditions.
Safety Champion Award ceremony is held quarterly to
encourage safe working .

locations include O & M ,Business, Stores, Grids, W/shop and BYPL has begged
