St. Vincent De Paul Society November Conference Meeting

Please join us for our monthly conference meeting which will be held on Saturday, November 16

th, 9:30 am at Sacred Heart

Cathedral following morning Mass.

Our monthly conference meeting is an oppor-tunity to nurture and discuss Vincentian spiritu-ality, to explore the ways we can help the poor in our community and come together to pray and share our experiences.

Saturday, November 23, 2019, 10:00AM - Mass for deceased clergy and religious at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Bishop Stephen

will be the Main Celebrant and other priests will concelebrate. This will be followed by a simple reception. PLEASE note that NO 9:00 AM Mass on that day.

The third Wednesday of the month, Bishop Jensen and the priests of the diocese

will take turns leading Lectio Divina at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

The next Lectio Divina will be on Wednesday, November 20th. Fr. Alvin

Matias, pastor of St. Peter’s Parish Mackenzie, will be the presenter and the

Scripture Passage is from Luke 6:6-11``The man with a withered hand``.

The evening will start with social time and snacks at 6:30 pm, followed by

Vespers at 7:00 pm. The Lectio Divina will be from 7:15 to 8:00 pm. See the poster on the parish

bulletin board for more details.

The Portuguese Cultural Society of Prince George is hosting their annual Christmas Dinner/Party to be held on November 30th, 2019. It will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church, 511 South Tabor Boulevard; Doors open at 5:30 p.m., Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are limited, so please contact Emily at 250-612-1940 or Anna at 250-562-2226.

Christmas Hamper Coordinator

St Vincent de Paul is looking for an energetic person to help with our

Christmas Campaign. This is a temporary paid position that would start immediately and end on January 3, 2020. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7 to 8 hours/day. Duties are to coordinate volunteers for Hamper applications, delivery day and dinner; accept and sort donations, prepare/photocopy hamper materials and coordinate delivery of donated items where needed. If you have good organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and a caring attitude, we would love to hear from you!
