1 GENERAL

1.1 ScopeThis Specification sets out the requirements for the;

a) Design of Reinforced Soil Walls (RSWs) including the design requirements of thereinforced fill material, the soil reinforcement, facing elements and associatedcomponents.

b) Construction of Reinforced Soil Walls (RSWs)1.2 Reference Documents

c) All aspects of the design of Reinforced Soil Walls must comply with the requirements ofthe RTA QA Specification R57 “Design of Reinforced Soil Walls”, current version, exceptas specified on the Drawings or elsewhere in the Project Documents.

d) All aspects of the construction of Reinforced Soil Walls must comply with therequirements of the RTA QA Specification R58 “Construction of Reinforced Soil Walls”,current version, except as specified on the Drawings or elsewhere in the ProjectDocuments.

1.3 Surface FinishConcrete test panels and colour control of concrete if required shall be provided in accordancewith AS3610, to suit the class of finish defined in RTA QA Specification B80, except as specifiedon the Drawings or elsewhere in the Project Documents.
