1From the Pastor Ken Gray 1st John 5:12 – “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

“I guess when I get there, God will let me in, or send me to that other place.” I have heard statements like this from people many times. When they learn I pastor a church, the common response is to introduce their Bible knowledge into the conversation. They assume that in some way whatever that knowledge may be, it will be to their eternal advantage. Some have even said they’ll just wait to see what the outcome will be. To me that is like standing blindfolded on a high-dive, hoping there is water below you, and then jumping!

I am so grateful that upon trusting Christ as Savior, He guides us in this life and will receive us home to Heaven one day. Its not about ‘not so’, ‘maybe so’ or even ‘hope so’, but according to scripture a definitive ‘know so’! Do you?

1st John 5:13 – “ . . . that you may know that you have eternal life, . . .”

1Spring is here and summer is fast approaching. With summer on the horizon I have begun preparing for Youth Camp. Youth Camp will be at Falls Creek in Oklahoma. The dates are from June 20th to 25th. This will be an exciting and great experience so make sure to get with me about putting your name on the roster.

Along with camp, I am pleased to announce that the youth will begin to become more active in and outside of the church. The goal of the youth group is to “set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” It is hard to accomplish this by being confined within the youth room. As a result, there will be opportunities this spring and summer to get involved in the community and the church. The goal is to live a life that is worthy of our Savior. Let us impact the world for Christ. If you have been away from youth for awhile or are new to the group then get ready . . . We Are About to Turn the World Upside Down for Christ!

Please visit: Towne North Baptist Youth on Facebook.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in

conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

1From the Sunday School Director Eric Pangburn

1Immortality. The stuff of science fiction . . . or is it? We've all read about fictional characters that have achieved or wished to achieve immortality. Some have paid over $200,000 to have them-selves cryogenically preserved after death, hoping that the secret to immortality will be discovered someday so that they can be thawed out and regenerated. In reality, we are already immortal beings. Fortunately the "regeneration" can occur without being frozen first. As we consider what took place on the first Good Friday, and what we celebrated on Easter, the crucified and then risen Savior, we should realize that regeneration occurs the moment we individually accept what Jesus did for us during the first Easter. Not regeneration to immortality. As we said, we are already immortal. The difference can only be with whom do we choose to spend our immortality with. Choose wisely. See you in Sunday School next week!

1 Lifeway's Submerged VBS July 18 - 22 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. nightly

Preparations for Vacation Bible School will begin soon and this summer

we will go deep within the mysterious sea.As kids submerge themselves in God’s Word,

they will discover that Jesus didn’t just see what’s on the outside of people. He looked

deep down on the inside. So grab your goggles, step into your flippers, and dive in to find truth

below the surface!

Have a specific area of VBS you’d like to volunteer for? It's never too early to let Anita

know your intentions!

1TWU Baptist Student Ministry free lunch We are providing the Wednesday free lunch for the TWU Baptist Student Ministry on April 13. Anyone who would like to help prepare the meal is welcome to join us in the kitchen on Tuesday, April 12 at 7:00 p.m. We will need lots of desserts donated! Easy to serve items like brownies, cup-cakes, cookies, etc. work best for this event. Volunteers for transporting, setting up, and serving the meal will also be needed. Contact Patti for more information.
