Hymn Join All the Glorious Names #301 (1-5) Join all the glorious names of wisdom, love, and pow'rThat ever mortals knew, that angels ever boreAll are too poor to speak his worth, too poor to set my Savior forth
Great Prophet of my God, my tongue would bless thy nameBy thee the joyful news of our salvation cameThe joyful news of sins forgiv'n, of hell subdued, and peace with heav'n
Jesus, my great High Priest, offered his blood and diedMy guilty conscience seeks no sacrifice besideHis pow'rful blood did once atone and now it pleads before the throne
Thou art my Counselor, my pattern, and my GuideAnd thou my Shepherd art; O keep me near thy sideNor let my feet e'er turn astray to wander in the crooked way
My Savior and my Lord, my Conqu'ror and my KingThy scepter and thy sword, thy reigning grace, I singThine is the pow'r; behold I sit in willing bonds beneath thy feet

Psalm 31B In You, LORD, I Take Refuge (1-3)
In you, LORD, I take refuge; let shame not come to meIn righteousness give answer; set me at liberty
O hasten to my rescue, and to my plea give heedO be my Rock and Refuge, a Fortress in my need
You are my Rock and Fortress; for your name lead and guideBecause you are my Stronghold, free me from nets they hideInto your hand my spirit, I now entrust to youBecause you have redeemed me, LORD God whose Word is true
I hate those serving idols; but in the LORD I restYour love gives me great gladness; you saw me when oppressedYou knew my soul’s affliction, and kept me from my foeMy feet you have established, where they can safely go

Silent Prayer of Confession
Corporate Prayer of ConfessionO Lord, we confess that you know us thoroughly; our deepest secrets are open before you. You know our thoughts before they are conceived in our minds and we cannot hide from you. We ask that you discover unto us our sins, so that we may humble ourselves again in your presence and seek your forgiveness and grace. We confess we have tolerated sinful thoughts about power, lust, greed, jealousy, malice, and other things that grieve your heart. We have committed sins of omission and sins of commission. O Father, please forgive us! We seek your mercy and cleansing from our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. And we thank you for your Spirit, who enables us to walk in holiness and obedience. Please give us the grace to please you this day and forevermore. It is in Christ’s most precious name we pray. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon 1 John 2:1,2If any man sins, he has an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He is the propitiation for our sins.
Hymn Jesus, Lover of My Soul #508 (1-4)
Jesus, lover of my soul, let me to thy bosom flyWhile the nearer waters roll, while the tempest still is highHide me, O my Savior, hide, till the storm of life is pastSafe into the haven guide, O receive my soul at last
Other refuge have I none, hangs my helpless soul on theeLeave, ah! leave me not alone, still support and comfort meAll my trust on thee is stayed, all my help from thee I bringCover my defenseless head with the shadow of thy wing
Thou, O Christ, art all I want; more than all in thee I findRaise the fallen, cheer the faint, heal the sick, and lead the blindJust and holy is thy name; I am all unrighteousnessFalse and full of sin I am, thou art full of truth and grace
Plenteous grace with thee is found, grace to cover all my sinLet the healing streams abound; make and keep me pure withinThou of life the fountain art, freely let me take of theeSpring thou up within my heart, rise to all eternity

Hymn On Jordan’s Stormy Banks
On Jordan’s stormy banks I stand, and cast a wishful eyeTo Canaan’s fair and happy land, where my possessions lie
All o’er those wide extended plains, shines one eternal dayThere God the Son forever reigns, and scatters night away
Chorus: I am bound (I am bound), I am bound (I am bound)I am bound for promised landI am bound (I am bound), I am bound (I am bound)I am bound for promised land
No chilling winds nor poisonous breath can reach that healthful shoreSickness, sorrow, pain and death, are felt and feared no more (Repeat chorus)
When shall I reach that happy place, and be forever blessedWhen shall I see my Father’s face, and in His bosom rest (Repeat chorus)
Benediction Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
