43 AD – Romans invade Britain and it becomes part of the Roman Empire50 AD – London is founded61 AD – Boudicca leads the Iceni in a revolt against the Romans.70 AD – The Romans conquer Wales and the North76 AD – The Emperor Hadrian is born122-128 AD – Hadrian build a wall to border Scotland140 AD – The Romans conquer Scotland401-410 AD – The Romans withdraw from Britain: Anglo Saxon migrants begin to settle

Britain was ruled by The Celts until they were invaded by The Romans in 43 AD.

The Romans came to Britain looking for riches, land, slaves and most of Britain's metal.

Only roman boys over the age of 20 could be soldiers. They had to be roman citizens.

Boudicca was the queen of the Iceni who led a revolt against the occupying Romans, in 61 AD. This failed and she died shortly afterwards.

The Roman Emperor, Hadrian built Hadrian's Wall, which marked the northern limit of Roman territory in Britain.The Romans leave Britain to go and protect their own homes in Italy who were under attack by fierce tribes.

The Roman rule ended and the Anglo Saxons began to settle.
