The National Epidemiology Center (NEC) shall function as the Secretariat
of the Committee.
VPD EXPERT REVIEW COMMITTEE: 1. Reviews all case investigation reports and other records of
AFP, measles compatible & NT
2. Meets once every quarter
3. Compiles and analyzes info from DOH to monitor progress
towards polio eradication, measles and NT elimination
4. Provides recommendation and guidance to DOH
5. Participates in field visits when needed
6. Participates in advocacy activities
7. Submits a quarterly reports of their findings, recommended
strategies and potential solutions
8. The measles and NT ERC shall supervise and guide the annual
verification documentation process at the country level
9. The measles and NT ERC shall monitor progress towards
accelerated rubella control and CRS prevention
