Welcome to St. André’s Parish! No matter who you are, where you’ve come from, or what brings you here, we’re so glad to have you with us. St. André Bessette (1845-1937) spent much of his life serving as the door-keeper of his religious community; like him, we strive to open doors for our neighbors to experi-ence the loving mercy of God. May Jesus fill your heart with his grace and peace!

From Fr. Steve….. St. André’s Parish Fall Sale features many items from the Recto-ry have been found. We have too much stuff that we would nev-er, in a million years, use and we had no place to store it until the next garage sale. I am pleased to announce that Catholic Charities will be leasing the former site of the Frassati House (St. John Bosco Rectory) as they are expanding their services here in the Malone. They will also be assisting us in operating the Good Samaritan Food Pantry, and in the near future they will begin operating a Soup Kitchen at the St. John Bosco Social Hall 3-days a week (Monday, Wednes-day, and Friday) from 3:00PM to 6:00PM. St. André’s Parish and Catholic Charities will be working collaboratively in an effort to meet the needs of the people on Malone. I am pleased that so many parishioners actively volunteer in the Good Samaritan Food Pantry and at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, which also helps support the Food Pantry.

Inspiring and informative video programs, talks, movies, and eBooks, by some of Amer-ica’s best Catholic teachers, are now available to you online 24/7. Just go to FORMED.org and enter our parish code: 17a76e.

ANDRÉ’S BROTHERS - ALL MEN WELCOME

André’s Brothers will gather once again on Tuesday evenings for prayer, study and fellowship. We will be watching “The Wild Goose”, a video series on discovering a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Wild Goose was a term that the ancient Celts had for the Holy Spirit. Apart from the Wild Goose there is no life. This series is an invitation to join Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR (current president of Franciscan University) on a journey led by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit desires to be present to us in a manner that brings light out of darkness, freedom out of bondage, order out of chaos and life out of death. The meetings will begin with Vespers at 6:30 PM (please note the change in time) in Notre Dame Church, followed by the video and discussion in the Parish Center. Our first gathering will be on Tuesday, September 17, followed by meetings on Sept. 24, Oct. 1, Oct. 15, Oct. 22, Oct. 29 and Nov. 5. Please join us for any or all of the sessions.

When you receive it in the mail, please complete it and return it according to the instructions at the bottom of the form as soon as possible.
