Respect Life

Father of all mercy, we thank you for this season of grace

and light. We know that sin has blinded us. Draw us ever

closer to you, in prayer and penance. Since you, O God, are

light itself, give all your people a clearer understanding of

what is sin, and what is virtue. Gran in particular that we

may see, as never before, the profound dignity of every hu-

man life, including the vulnerable unborn children. We pray

through Christ our Lord, Amen. (Priests for life)

The flu season is upon us. If you are feeling ill or con-

cerned about others feeling ill please refrain from the

cup. We will be temporarily dispensing with shaking

hands at the sign of peace. A nod or a wave will need

to suffice. Most importantly if you are not feeling

well it is alright to stay home un!l you are be"er. (God

does not give out extra points for coming to Mass

while sick)

Eucharistic Ministers! Please be sure to use hand sanitizer

before and after distributing Communion. If you are not

feeling well, please allow another Minister to fill in for you.

ALL LECTORS: PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR THE THIRD,

FOURTH, AND FIFTH SUNDAYS OF LENT, WE WILL BE USING

CYCLE B READINGS, NOT THE OPTIONAL CYCLE A READINGS.

lives. The next meeting will be on February 17th, from 9-11am in the

Media Room.

Bring a Bible and a friend. We’d love to have you join us!

Lenten Evening of Reflection for Families

Fr. Chris Ballard, Pastor of Our Lady of Hope in the Valley, will be pre-

senting an “Evening of Lenten Reflection for Families” on Sunday, Feb-

ruary 11th at 6pm at St. Ann’s Church. Fr. Chris will be speaking to our

teens in grades 8-12 and their families as part of our Teen Parish

Faith Formation Program. We would like to extend the invitation to all

parishioners to join us on this Sunday prior to Ash Wednesday. The

Liturgical Season of Lent offers us the opportunity to grow closer to

Christ by opening the doors of our hearts a little wider and under-

standing our Lord a little deeper. Come and join us on Sunday evening

and may this upcoming Lent point us to the hope of the Resurrection.
