    Rx SPORTS RULES (2013-14)

    Misconduct in any form will not be tolerated and the college foundguilty will be directly disqualified.

    Verification will be done the basis of college identity card andbonafide which is to be provided by the college on respective

    letter heads. Not necessary a single student should have a

    separate bonafide. Without proper identity card no student shallbe allowed to participate. College library card, breakage receipt,

    fees receipt hall ticket shall not be accepted under any

    circumstances.

    Separate bonafides for each game. All single game players namecan be included in a single bonafide.

    Id cards are to be presented with a bonafide on with a clearphotograph and year of admission.

    Final year dropout students are not allowed to participate. 1st, 2nd and 3rd year droupout students need to present their id

    card, previous semesters marksheet and name on the bonafide.

    Service on line is referred to as outside and during the rally if the ball

    falls on the line it will be considered inside.(Subject to change inaccordance with the referee).

    A header and kick is allowed once per set. Only 3 subs are allowed per set that may be rolling. Serve only after the whistle and enter the box only after the ball

    crosses the net or after the ball is released from hand.(Subject to

    change in accordance with the referee).

    Tossing is compulsory while taking a serve if not it is considered a foul. Net touch by a player is a foul. Centre line cross is a foul.

    IPA FOOTBALL

    Registration time: 9.30am-10.15am.

    Total number of players: 11+4. Offside :as per rule and referees decision is final If the match results into a draw, tie breaker will decide the result. [5

    players from each side, goal keeper may or may not be included

    during the penalty shootout] goalkeeper can be changed beforethe penalty shootout but not during.

    3 substitutions allowed. Foul in the d-line will award a penalty to the opponent Cards will be issued for fouls according to referees discretion. If a red card is issued that means the player goes off the pitch in that

    match and also misses the next match.

    Goal kick as per rule. Half time is of 15 minutes. 15 mins +( in case of a tie)extra time (as per referee) + penalties If the 5 penalty shootout is unable to decide the result then there

    will be a sudden death (one penalty per college).

    Studs are allowed, no spikes allowed. Referees decision is final.

    IPA BOX CRICKET (GIRLS AND BOYS SEPERATELY)

    Registration time: 9.30am-10.15am

    The matches of 5 overs (2+1+1+1). The no. Of players is 7(+2 extras). The toss will decide the team batting and fielding first. The runs would be on the basis of markings on the box as 1, 2 and 4. If the ball, hit by the batsman goes directly outside the box, it is out. No ball will be declared if the ball pitches before the line marked on

    the crease and also if the ball is full toss above the waist height of

    the batsman.

    Overthrown runs will be accounted for. No leg byes or byes. Under any circumstances, the decision of the umpire would be

    abiding and final. On the line is considered as a normal ball. No keeper can catch the ball in front of the stumps. Side arm and over arm throw is not allowed. During bowling arm action should start from the back foot only. DIMENSIONS: 28-30 feet * 10.5-12 feet

    THROW-BALL RULES

    Registration time: 9.30am-10.15am The size of the Throw ball court will be 18.30 X 12.30m with a neutral

    box/chocolate box of 1.5M on each side.

    The height of the net will be 2.2m Each team can have a maximum of 12 players (7 in the main team + 5

    substitutes).

    Each match will be of 3 sets- 21 points each. Each team is allowed to make a maximum of 5 substitutions per set. Each team is allowed to take 2 time out per set. Service should be within 5 seconds after the referee blows the whistle

    and is done from the service zone. The player who serves can enter court after the ball crosses the net. A player can jump while serving the ball. During the serve the ball should not touch the net. Double touch while catching the ball is not allowed. The ball should be caught with both the hands without any sound or

    movement of the ball within the hands (Dubs).

    Two players are not allowed to catch the ball simultaneously.

    The ball should be thrown within 3 seconds of being caught. The ball should be released from above the shoulder line with only one

    hand.

    A player can jump while throwing the ball which can touch the net. The players should have contact with the ground while catching the

    ball.

    The ball should not touch any other part of the body other than thepalms.

    The ball should not be caught below the waist line. If the ball is caught in the sitting position then it should be released in

    the same position.

    The ball cannot be shifted from left to right or right to left. The ball should be released from the side from which it has been

    caught.

    The ball cannot be caught over the head.

    After catching the ball the player can move only 2 steps. The player cannot rotate 1800after the ball has been caught. The match will be played with TT points i.e. The team which breaks the

    serve of opposite team will get a point and a serve.

    Rotation of the players after the team loses a point and had served forthat point.

    RULES FOR TABLE TENNIS

    Registration time: 9.30am-10.15am Singles separate event boys and girls Team Events also separate. No. Of players per college is 4 2 Girls and 2 boys are allowed. No. Of events each player plays is flexible. (i.e.1 boy player can play

    singles, doubles and mixed doubles as well)

    Singles matches (all): 3 sets of 11 points. Doubles matches (all): 3 sets of 21 points.

    Few important rules of the gamea. The ball must be tossed before servingb. Only 2 reserves are allowed. On the third reserve the point goes

    to the opposite team

    c. The toss will decide which team can choose the side or serviced. Also in case of mixed and doubles the teams serving gets to

    decide which player he/she wishes to serve to

    e. In case of doubles events the service has to be a cross, if the ball

    lands on the wrongs side of the table, the point will be given tothe opposite team.

    f. Table touch will be considered as a foul.g. Finger touch is allowed.

    RULES FOR CARROM

    Registration time: 9.30am-10.15am

    Anticlockwise break and play clockwise Toss will be done by the referee Player has the option to break or change the side after winning the

    toss

    All the coins should be inside the circle before the break and thequeen within the center of the circle.

    The referees decision is final and can only be changed by the eventhead

    Before break, the player has to say break Players cannot touch the pockets Players cannot speak with each other or to the crowd. Line cut is not allowed In case of foul, the foul coin comes up and the player loses the

    chance Once the foul coin is up, the player can tap it once and once the coin

    is inside the circle it cannot be taken out.

    In case of due and double due, one and two coins come uprespectively and the same player gets the chance to play in case ofdouble foul.

    In double due, if the coin is queen then any other coin comes upwith the same player getting the chance to play,if the cover is taken

    then the queen is not gone,

    In double due, if the coin is cover, then two coins come up with thesame player getting the chance to play.if the cover is taken, then thequeen is gone opponents coin cannot be touched in the last shot.

    If the player puts in the last cover of the opponent then he loses thegame.

    BADMINTON

    Registration time: 9.00am-9.45am

    TOSS

    Before play commences, a toss shall be conducted and the winning side shall

    choose To serve or receive first To start play at one end of the court or the other

    The side losing the toss serves first in the second set and it continues

    alternatively

    SCORING SYSTEM

    For singles: 3 sets of 15 pointsFor doubles: 3 sets of 21 points

    If the score becomes 14 all the rule would be as per t.t (advantage n duce)

    CHANGE OF ENDS

    Players shall change ends:

    At the end of the first game Prior to the beginning of the third game

    SERVICE:

    In a correct service:

    The server and receiver shall stand within diagonally opposite courts withouttouching the boundary lines of these service courts.

    Some part of both feet of the server and receiver shall remain in contact with

    the surface of the court in a stationary position from the start of the service

    until the service is delivered.

    The whole shuttle shall be below the servers waist at the instant of being hit

    by the server racket.

    The flight of the shuttle shall be upwards from the servers racket to pass overthe net so that, if not intercepted. It lands in the receivers service court (on or

    within the boundary lines).

    It is a foul if the server in attempting to serve misses the shuttle.

    SINGLES:

    Serving and receiving courts

    The players shall serve from and receive in their respective right service

    courts when the server has not scored or has scored and even number ofpoints in that game.

    The players shall serve from, and receive in, their respective left service

    courts when the server has scored an odd number of points in that game.

    If the server makes a fault or the shuttle ceases to be in play because ittouches the surface of the court inside the servers court, the server loses the

    right to continue serving and the receiver then becomes the server with a

    point scored by opponent player.

    DOUBLES

    At the start of a game and each time a side gains the right to serve, the service

    shall be delivered from the right service court.

    Only the receiver shall return the service: should the shuttle be touched or by

    the receivers partner it shall be a fault and the serving side scores a point.

    SCORING AND SERVING

    If the receiving side makes a fault or the shuttle ceases to be in play because ittouches the surface if the court inside the receiving sides court, the serving

    side scores a point and the server serves again.

    If the serving side makes a fault or the shuttle ceases to be in play because ittouches the surface of the court inside the serving sides court, the server loses

    the fight to continue serving with a point scored by the opponent side.

    No player shall serve out of turn, receive out of turn, or receive 2 consecutiveservices in the same game, except as provided in laws 12 and 14.

    RULES FOR CHESS

    Registration time: 9.30am-10.15am

    Only 4 players from each college i.e. 2 girls n 2 boys. No best of three matches it will be a knockout series. Time allotted for 1 match is 45 mins n 1 min for a move. Move should be made within a minute and if not, 1 point will be

    deducted, and points will be deducted accordingly with exceeding

    minutes.

    The winner will be declared in the basis of the points given belowPawn-1

    Rook-5Bishop-3

    Knight-3

    Queen-9

    If check and mate done, the game will be considered over In case of tie 15 mins extra time will be allotted with 15 sec for a move. Castling is allowed but once the king has been moved, castling is not

    allowed

    The referees decision will be final.

    GAMING RULESRegistration time: 8.45am-9.45am

    RULES FOR COUNTER STRIKE (1.6)

    Patch used will be Counter Strike1.6

    Maps:

    Nuke Inferno Etc

    Map to be played will be decided by chits system on the spot.

    Rule set:

    1stround: knife round (winner decides CT or T) (throw guns and C4 at base,anyone carrying the gun at fight spot will be considered as loosing the round)

    Round time: 1.75minutes (1min 45secs)
