The RX-4 is CSC Motorcycle’s middle weight adventure touring motorcycle. It comes with a 6

speed, 450cc single cylinder, fuel-injected engine. ABS brakes along with dual radial-mounted

front calipers come standard.

Your RX-4 comes with a 2-year unlimited mile warranty. The first year covers both parts and

labor. The second year covers parts only. Please refer to https://www.cscmotorcycles.com/for-

This owner’s manual will cover the basic functions and specifications of the RX-4. Service and

maintenance will not be covered in this manual. Please refer to the service manual and parts

diagrams found at cscmotorcycles.com or call (909) 445-0900 for assistance.

Refer to your state DMV for licensing and registration information. Please use caution when

handling or riding your motorcycle. Tread lightly and always wear appropriate safety gear.

VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN)

The vehicle identification number (VIN) is stamped on the frame. It is located on the right side of the

frame near the steering neck. There is also a printed VIN sticker on the right side of the swingarm.

ENGINE NUMBER

The engine number is stamped on the left-side engine case. It is located next to the cylinder

The vehicle emission sticker is on the right-side frame spar next to the fuel tank

IGNITION SWITCH STEERING LOCK

The ignition switch has 3 positions. ON, OFF and OFF with steering lock. Turn the handlebars all the way

to the left and push while turning the ignition completely counterclockwise to engage steering lock

WINDSCREEN

To adjust push windscreen forward and tighten adjuster knob. Spring tension and wind resistance holds

shield in place. For additional stability, lightly tighten 5mm set screw

HEADLIGHT

Headlight switch has (3) positions: “On” low or high beam are always on with ignition. “Auto” switched

on automatically in low light and “Off”. Daytime glowing halo is on in all (3) positions as required by

some states

FRONT BRAKE LEVER

The front brake lever has a 4-position reach adjustment.

CLUTCH LEVER ADJUSTMENT

The clutch lever has a barrel and lock nut adjuster under a rubber boot. Loosen the knurled locknut and

turn the barrel adjuster until there is 10mm of free play at the end of the lever. Adjust when the engine

is warm.

If you run out of adjustment with the barrel adjuster, loosen the left nut and tighten the right nut on the

lower cable adjuster. Fine tune the free play with the barrel adjuster at the handlebar.

DASH

The dash has an analog tach, digital speedometer, odometer with trip meter, gear indicator and clock.

To set the clock, hold down the “MODE” button until the time flashes. Press the “SELECT” button to set

the time. The “MODE” button will cycle through hours and minutes.

SEAT

Use the ignition key to unlatch the pillion seat.

TOOL KIT

The front seat is removed by unscrewing (2) 8mm bolts at the back of the front seat. A small tool kit it

strapped under the pillion seat

FUSES

Fuses are accessed by removing the front seat and flipping up the snap cover.

BATTERY

The battery is located on the right side under the flexible black body panel under the seat. To remove

the body panel first remove the 3mm Allen screw. Next, pull the front and bottom of the panel out to

release the mushroom pins.
